I made this Hello Kitty treat bag using Tags, Bags, boxes and More and also Hello Kitty Greetings. To create HK I used the silhouette function of that Cricut cart and cut her on black and also a puple/pink paper and stamped her face using Peachy Keen Stamps "Simple eyes and noses". I love that set it's perfect for the Hello Kitty carts! For the bag the paper I used is a green and black glitter paper and there's swirls, witches, black cats and moons.... I forgot to take pics of the sides oops! The sentiment is from Crafty Sprouts Totally Witchn  stamp set, I also added a black tulle bow that I've had in my stash forever and totally forgot I had it yikes! Glad I remembered it!

#227 El Cucuy Blog Hop -Scary Treat Box

Hi everyone!!! Welcome to El Cucuy AKA Boogie man Blog Hop, hosted by Celeste  and Yolie! If you are here from Ruthie September Ninth then you are in the right spot! I was so happy and excited to be a part of this fun hop, I guess it brings back spooky memories of my childhood when my mom and grandma would threaten me and say the cucuy is coming to get me if I don't behave! Well guess what now we tell our 4 year old son that.... I know you probably think it's child abuse by telling them that but it works! When I catch my son stepping foot in my  scrapbook room, I say "Uh-oh Cucuy!" and he will literally run out of there and leave my stuff alone. I tell him this because I have caught him drawing on my layouts that take me 3 hours to create, or grabbing my scissors, or grabbing my inks ugh!!! Sometimes 4 year olds have a mind of their own!

For my Cucuy monster I decided to make him a scary Jack-O-Lantern, I cut the pumpkin from the October 31st seasonal cartridge... I LOVE that cart BTW!!!! The treat box is from the Spring Holiday Cards Seasonal Cricut cartridge. I am going to have a pumpkin carving party at my house next week and I am making an assortment of treat boxes to give out to my guests and I made this one for one of the guys, I guess my hubby approved because he loved this one! (my son not so much, I think he was spooked by the scary pumpkin!) This stamp is from Crafty Sprouts "Totally Witchn" stamp set and I also added a little green slime with my MS Drippy- Goo punch!

BLOG CANDY ALERT!!!!! I am giving away ONE Crafty Sprouts "Let's Go Blog Hopping"  stamp set to ONE lucky follower who leaves me a comment below and also on my POST #212, I will announce a random winner this Monday Oct. 24th!!

#226 Popcorn Box Halloween Treat Bag

Hi everyone! i know I said I would post a Halloween card yesterday but I have been extremely tired and I got morning sickness really bad the last 2 days and crafting is the last thing on my mind these days! I am so sad because I have no energy at all and I just want to be my normal energetic self LOL!

Today is a contiuation of the "Candy Goes Here" challenge at http://www.craftysprouts.com/. For the challenge you can make any themed treat box/bag for the challenge and you do not need to use Crafty Sprouts stamps to enter the challenge, but if you have them use 'em!! I have been wanting to make a popcorn shaped treat bag forever, I got the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more Cricut Cartiridge free last year with that big update they did. I love the shape of this box, it's pretty big  and can hold a lot of candy.... or yummy popcorn!!! The cute ghost bird is from the 3 Birds on a Parade Cricut cartridge, I did some inking and faux stitching, the Jack-O-Lantern face is from Peachy Keen Stamps. I also added a green slimey drippy goo border all around the treat bag. For the "BOO" sentiment I used Crafty Sprouts "Monster Kisses" stamp set, you can view it HERE.

Be sure to link up your treat box/bag for a chance to win some goodies from DCWV paper and The Twinery!!! (I used them for my project!) Click Here for challenge!!

Blog Hop!! Be sure to check back tomorrow Sat. 10/22 for the El Cucuy Boogie Man Blog Hop hosted by Celeste and Yolie!! I am giving away a set of Crafty Sprouts stamps, don't forget! See you there!

#224 Corn Maze Layout + The Hot Blog Hot w/ Jacob the scrappy assistant

Hi everyone! I went to my first ever corn maze on Sunday and it was actually the largest corn maze in California or (Southern Carlifornia) one of those! And boy was I tired and it was so hot on Sunday, I'm so glad I brought plenty of water LOL! But of course I "HAD" to do it and get some great pics since I am a scrapbooker at heart!!

For my LO I used one of my favorite Cricut cartridges. Country Life for the corn and banner. I stamped the sentiment on the banner flags and used a black gel pen for the outlines. I stamped the cute face on the corn with PKS Laughy Taffy faces and embossed with my "snake skin" Cuttlebug filder to make it look like corn kernels. I added pop dots under the green parts of the corn, it's a pretty big piece of corn that's about 10 inces, my son was pretending it was real corn and fake eating it LOL!

I used Kraft paper for the background and a Fall stack from 2010 DCWV "Autumn Splendor" and added a punch from Fiskars as a border and "Lemondrop" yellow twine from the Twinery. The flowers are Recollections and the bling pieces are large bling I got from Walmart. I also added rick rack ribbon on the small photo mats. I used Walnut stain distress ink on the photo mats, and sprayed Olive Vine Glimmer Mist on the Kraft paper, and stamped a burlap stamp on the Kraft paper with white Acrylic paint.

Of course I had to make the corn a girl, with that big flower in her hair!

I wanted a non-Cricut title so I dug out my old Inkadinkado clear alphabet stamps and inked them up using yellow Acrylic paint!! a cheap alternative to inks! I also painted the edges with Burnt orange colored paint. I bought the paints at Michael's for .50- .75 pretty cheap huh!?!

Time for The Hot Blog Hop with Jacob wth Scrappy Assistant!! Plese scroll down to view my last 3 Jacob post to win a $15 Peachy Keen gift certificate!

On Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch and did a HUGE corn maze and I brought Jacob and Clippy the Koala with me on their last adventure in Southern California. It was really hard getting Jacob to wear this shirt in public, I mean he always wants to be naked LOL!!! His excuse was that he can't stand this 93 degree hot weather in October ugh!! Clippy the Koala was getting so freaked out in the corn maze because we kept getting lost, he thought we were going to be trapped there all night and the aliens would come and get us LOL!!!! (Ok I watch way too much TV haha!!!!) Jacob inspired me to make a Corn Maze Layout for today's post... great idea Jacob you are sooo smart and sexy haha!

Today Jacob the Scrappy Assistant helped me soooo much, by helping me put away all my supplies I used for today's project! It also made me realize how many supplies are needed just to create ONE scrapbook page!! I think I need to show this pic to my hubby and tell him I "NEED" to go shopping for more supplies so I can get more Layout's done LOL!
I am so grateful to have Jacob helping me in my Scrapbook room, I mean my hubby has never helped me put away all of my treasures haha!

Be sure to link up your project HERE for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate to The Digi Bistro SVG Store and also win a Halloween stamp set!

I stamped all the faces with Peachy Keen stamps XL Critter Faces, and Cheery-o Faces on the leaves, and the sentiment is also from PKS! The clouds on the top left are a cloud stamp from The Greeting Farm Stamps. I am also entering my card into the Peachy Keen "Leaves" challenge.

Ok now onto the "That's Hop Blog Hop with Jacob the Scrappy Assistant" hosted by me!! #219 Halloween Treats Blog Hop Takeout Box

Hi everyone!!! Welcome to the much anticipated Halloween Treat Boxes Blog Hop hosted by Sylvia!! If you are here from Sylvia's blog  http://www.bellascrapbookdesigns.blogspot.com/ then you are in then right spot! I was so excited when Sylvia asked me to join her awesome hop because I LOVE this hop theme and I can't wait to see some real candy like what I will be showing you below :)

For my project I made a Chinese Takeout style treat box to hold my most all time favorite treats.... Reese's!!!! I stamped the sentiment with Crafty Sprouts "TOTALLY WITCHN"' stamp set, but I messed up because I didn't stamp the sentiment until after I assembled the entire box, ugh I'm such a dork sometimes haha oh well!! The spiderweb border is from my Martha Stewart spiderweb border punch that I got from Michaels. This very cute bat is an SVG file from The Digi Bistro SVG shop called PICK YOUR POISON, it's a great SVG set that comes with 18 spooky and cute files!

I got this Takeout box file also from The Digi Bistro SVG shop and it's called "Treat Boxes" and has 5 different style 3D boxes and bags and will be available real soon!

Here's the top view when it's closed. The measurements on my SCAL 2 where 11x11 inches. Can you guess how I made the green handles???? Scroll down and I'll tell you my deepest darkest secret!!

Mmmmmmmmm Reese's my fav! Here's a pic of it open it fits 5 total Reese's wow!! Ok that's too many Reese's for me to give away to someone so I think I'm going to keep them myself... Oh wait hold that thought!! LOL!! My hubby and son just hijacked 2 of my Reese's oh no!!! (that really happened just now haha!)

Ok so I made the green handles with 3 regular sized paper clips!!! I knew I had to come up with a wire type of handle to make it look more realistic. I straightened all 3 paper clips and used my wire cutter all in one tool that I got from Joann's to "bend" and loop on each side. I then poked holes on the 2 un-embellished sides and placed the paper clip handles inside.

Proof it fits 5 candies!!

Here's another close up of the other side I used the same bat, just a different sentiment oh and googly eyes!

BLOG CANDY!!!!!!!
I am giving away ONE Crafty Sprouts "LET'S GO BLOG HOPPING" stamp set to ONE lucky follower who leaves me a comment below and also on my original giveaway post #212 right HERE!! I will announce a random winner on Monday Oct. 24 good luck!

You can even use these cute bears for other things like birthday's, baby, kids or even holidays! I stamped the face with PKS XL Critter faces and added pink shorbert twine from The Twinery under the balloon. I then added pop dots to layer the balloon.
