#213, 214 Thank You Cards Blog Hop

***If you are looking for my Flaunt It Friday's Project Click HERE or scroll down***

Hello everyone and welcome to the Thank You Cards Blog Hop! If you are here from Jennifer's Blog

http://creativearmywife.blogspot.com/  than you are in the right spot. If you just started the hop and would like to start at the beginning then please go to Crafty Card Gallery http://www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/. I am so happy to be part of this hop because I have never done a hop all about Thank You cards and it's something that I always need to have on hand. Now onto my project:

I decided to make 2 Thank You cards with my forgotten cartridge....Hoot N Holler! I love that cart so much and I don't know why I don't get to use it more often I guess because there are so many cute carts that keep coming out and I think I have way too many options LOL! Here is the girl owl I stamped her face with my favorite owl face stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps Critter Faces XL. I used my Gypsy to hide all of the little pieces so that I could stamp the faces. For the beaks I put a white gel pen...let it dry and went over it with a yellow marker. I stamped the sentiment and put some bling on her belly because I think this bird is pregnant by her husband below......I think she got pregnant here in the wood's (The patterned paper I used!)LOL!Now here is her husband!!

For Mr. Lover owl LOL! I also cut him from Hoot N Holler, stamped the sentiment and also stamped his face with 2 DIFFERENT face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps Critter Faces XL. I stamped the glasses part seperate and stamped the beak part seperate, I also did the same technique on his beak as the other card.

Here is my 100% hand made envelopes! I cut the envelopes, the actual card base, and all of the scallop sqaures from the Slumber Party Cartridge I LOVE that cart by the way!! I used my ATG gun to adhere the envelope and I cut it on plain computer paper! I stamped the same sentiment on the envelope. These cards and envelope are around a 4x4 inch size.

On the inside of the envelope I put this adhesive square thing I dont know what its called, I just know I got a whole bunch of them from Big Lots. All you have to do is peel off the blue part and it has a very strong permanent bond.

Here is the two lovebirds together with their baby on the way LOL! Aren't they such a cute couple I thought they were so cute that I didnt want to put them on my cards I wanted to use them on a layout! Hmmmm maybe I will next time!

For my blog candy I am Giving away a Brand New in Package Zig 2 way glue pen all you have to do is BE a FOLLOWER and then tell me your favorite moment in 2010, I will draw a Random Winner sometime on Monday Jan.3rd. Please check back tonight at midnight or sometime this weekend for my sister's blog hop that I will be in right here you won't want to miss it! #212 Martini card

Happy New Year everyone! today is Friday and you know what that means....time for everyone to "Flaunt" their Cricut Carts over at my new challenge blog http://flauntitfridays.blogspot.com/. For those of you who are new to my blog welcome! At Flaunt it Friday's we have a new Cricut cart that we will be featuring every week and you have one week to complete the project. This week we are flaunting the Martini on Page 60 from the "From My Kitchen" Cartridge, if you do not own this cart feel free to use a similar cut from any cart.

For my card I used some black glitter paper...it was really hard to work with this type of material because I have actually never used it before....yes I am a Hoarder of all things scrapbooking related I have so much untouched stuff its sad....well at least that could be one of my New Year's Resolutions to use up my stuff I already own! I cut the Martini and cherry from FMY, the cherry was actually supposed to be an olive. I added stickles to the cherry and black bling to the "Pimp Cup" LOL! And I stamped the most perfect sentiment to go along with my Martini, the stamp is from Pink By Design. I inked the edges of the sentiment with pink distress ink, and added a strip of sequin ribbon. I hope you all can play along this week with us especially since we having a GIVE AWAY sponsored by our fabulous Dorcas 4 Crafty Angels!

Please make sure you check back tonight at 7pm and Midnight PST for 2 amazing blog hops that I will be in including some blog candy! Have a safe and Happy New Year and may all of your dreams and wishes come true in 2011!

I had a lot of fun flaunting my little turtle girl I named her Sasha LOL! I am a dork because I love naming my little Cricut cuts. I gave her a makeover with Peachy Keen Princess faces and a cute little ribbon bow. The sentiment is from Create A critter also, I have to say that I am really loving my little turtle girl named Sasha and her super fabulous pink couture turtle shell LOL! I crack myself up sometimes! The bag was all white and I put K & Co. patterened paper on there and used my MS punch on the blue paper all around and cut the layers of the sentiment to match little Sasha turtle. #207 Christmas Tree Mini Album

Hello everyone I made a Christmas Tree Mini Album. Please scroll down to read my description.
Here is the front cover . The bell is a necklace and my title is a bling embellishment. The large ribbon bows are from an old christmas card that I removed along with the tiny tree. I added a large red cloth-like brad to the bow.
Here is a top view of the front page and all of my ribbon I used. I put the bell necklace on there so it can close.

Here is the 2nd and 3rd page. I added a snowflake embellishment and a red bow with a pearl. I also added a candy cane embellishment from the Jolees line.

Pages 4 and 5 I put red bows on top with another brad on the left side. All of the candy like stickers on the left side are also Jolee's. Right side I put a candy hanging embellishment and attached it to my binder ring. I sprayed the small envelope which also went with an old card with Glimmer mist and stamped the sentiment that says "It's the most wonderful time of the Year". On the bottom you can see my candy cane colored twine.

Here is a closeup of my Jolees candy cane stickers on page 4.

Here is a closeup of my little envelope with Glimmer Mist and red paint, also my stamping.Page 5.

Page 6 and Page 7 I added snowflake embellishments to the top. Left side I put a Merry christmas sticker on it that had Micro-beads, I also added a faux chipboard button and ribbon that says Naughty or Nice. This is the other side of the page with the candy cane twine. For the right side I wanted this page to hold a pic from a house nearby my house that goes all out for Christmas I found out about their house from watching HGTV and they were on it! So I found these cute Christmas lights also from an old card and I just attached them with regular clear scotch tape.

Here are the light on Page 7....they look real huh?

Pages 8 and 9, left side I added a red bow and a chipboard piece that says Jingle Bells, along with a brad. Right side I put a snowflake embellishment and more hanging candy.

Page 10 (back cover) I love this beautiful red vibrant shimmery paper. I put sitckles on all the white parts and put a large piece of bling on all of the larger white areas of the snowflakes, then I put green bling in the center of all the snowflakes. I also put a large embellishment snowflake on top.

Here is a close up of my bling work!

Here is the top view of the ribbon from the back cover.

Here is the side view you can also see here that I painted every single page edge with red acrylic paint. I am so proud of my self for making this mini this is my 2nd mini album ever! I was so stressed out last time I made one because they were very intimidating to me. I think I got over my fear of mini albums and now I feel like I can conquer the world LOL! My last one took me 2 whole weeks, and this one only took me about 1 day and a half to complete it. In case you were wondering where I got this mini I got it from Michael's $1 bin, it did not come with that large green binder ring (that was in my stash).

I made this Mini especially for Paper Playtime since our challenge this week is CHRISTMAS ANYTHING GOES!
Also if you have not heard of my new challenge blog that I created with my friend Janis it's called Flaunt It Friday's and this weeks challenge we have a cute summery theme going on this week...a little break from this cold wintery weather!

#203 Day 2 of the Holly Jolly hop

Welcome to Day 2 of the Holly Jolly Hop if you are here from

We are so excited to show everyone our 2nd gift idea projects and I am so happy that Stephanie and Jess have invited me to be part of their amazing hop. I hope that everyone was able to get inspired by all the wonderful projects from DAY 1, if you would like more inspiration and you would like to win some more candy feel free to scroll down a few posts here on my blog.

For my 2nd project I made a Christmas Ornament to hang on a bottle of Sparking Blueberry Grape Cider that I found at Walmart for $2.50. I thought it had such a pretty blue and silver combo so I just had to buy it and make a gift out of it! First I cut the snowflake from Accent Essentials on cereal chipboard, and on white cardstock then I put the snowflake in my Xyron sticker machine upside down and poured MS (tinsel) glitter over it. I punch a hole at the top and put some blue ribbon through it to make an ornament. I put a small strip of ATG adhesive to the silver ribbon and it stuck to the bottle. I put a blue glittery bell ornament (from Big Lots set of 12) and put my snowflake ornament on the ribbon. I then tied a knot to make my faux bow, Since I am not gifted in the bow department LOL! I think this came out very pretty and expensive looking too! Some other ideas you can do is make one with a wine bottle, pre-made cocktails, or liquor!

Here's my blue glitter bell

Here's a close-up of my tinsely snowflake oooh ahhh! (Martha Stewart)

Now for some CANDY! I am giving away a set of designer brads, and an 18pc set of flowers from Making Memories. All you have to do is LEAVE A COMMENT and tell me if you have ever experienced a WHITE CHRISTMAS!

Please make sure you leave a comment on all stops of the HOP because we have some amazing Grand Prizes! Today we are sponsored by Sarah Pink Cricut with one of her stamp sets!
