#244 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 6/ Christmas Cookie Box

Hi everyone welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop DAY 6 hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gifts 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.

For today's gift, I thought I'd make something to give to the guys in my family it's a Christmas Cookie Box. I got the box from the Life's A Party Cricut cartridge, I cut it the largest size I could to fit on my 12x12 mat. The final size is about 2.5x2.5 inches or so, so that means your cookies or candies need to be 2.5 inches or smaller. I really wanted to make homemade cookies today but I was so busy all day and didn't have a chance. I bought these awesome store bought cookies from a Southern California grocery store called Stater Bros. these cookies are delicious, nice and chewy and only $1 for a package from the bakery yippee!!! Hmmmm maybe I will cheat this year and buy these instead of baking LOL! Ok not really but it's nice to dream!

*NOTE* This box has 2 extra flaps that I cut off with my scissors because I wanted a see-through box so you can see the cookies inside. I got a piece of transparency paper to cover the inside flap of the box. I bought those at Michael's in the paper stack isle BTW!

The stamp sentiment is from CRAFTY SPROUTS STAMPS "Have A Cool Yule" right now she is having a sale all week long, all stamp sets including new releases are only $12.50 with FREE shipping!!!! Great deal, be sure to check them all out HERE! I love them they stamp so perfectly and the are the perfect size for all your projects!

Here's what the inside of the box looks like open, it holds up to 3 cookies and I also added green tissue paper to protect the box and cookies! This project only took me 15 minutes from start to finish, pretty awesome huh!

BLOG CANDY!! In honor of me creating 12 projects 12 days in a row, I will be celebrating by giving away ONE $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online stores......  PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment on all 12 of my 12 Days of Christmas post and be a follower. The last day will be on December 6th. I will announce a random winner on Wed. 12/7 good luck!

#243 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 5 Vintage Altered Composition Book

Hi everyone welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop DAY 5 hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gifts 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.
This is the before picture of my sad, depressing composition book I got from the Dollar Tree!! LOL!

Here's the AFTER picture!! 100 times better then the before picture right ladies lol!

I covered the front and back of the book using 2 thin 12x12 sheets of K & Company patterned paper, I cut each piece into 9x12 inches and adhered with my ATG gun. I didn't feel like messing with modge podge! I added black ribbon to the side.

I stamped the sentiment "Listen to your heart" and frame using Tim Holtz stamps. I made this tulle flower myself and added a brad in the middle! I sprayed the frame with pink glimmer mist and added distress ink.

Dress form on left is from Forever Young Cricut cartridge, and the other 2 are from Summer in Paris seasonal Cricut cart. I added black Onyx Martha Stewart glitter to them, and added bling with my i-rock only to the larger dress form.

Here's a tag/bookmark I made I stamped the Eiffel tower using a Tim Holtz stamp, and added rose distress ink, and a pink silk flower that's from the $1 store, along with tulle and a black glitter button. I stamped the first page using a heart stamp from Joann's. I placed a paper clip behind the flower so that you can actually hold the bookmark in place.

Here's the inside flap of the book, you can see how I folded down the front paper and added black paper and a pink border strip which is also a pocket to hold stuff, here's an example of the pocket holding the bookmark I made.

I went a little crazy with my Black distress ink..... there's no such thing as too much distressing or glitter that's my motto LOL! I covered all of the outside pages with black distress ink too!

I hope you enjoyed today's gift I made, it was a true work of heart, only took me 3+ hours but worth it!! I was really glad to make something vintage it's been awhile!

BLOG CANDY!! In honor of me creating 12 projects 12 days in a row, I will be celebrating by giving away ONE $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online stores......  PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!!! #242 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop DAY 4 Mickey Christmas Frame

Hi everyone welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog HopDAY 4 hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gifts 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.

For today's Christmas gift I made a cute Mickey Mouse Christmas frame to give to my sister Patty, she loves Disney as much as I do! I plan on surprising her and giving this frame to her with a picture already printed out of her and her son at Disneyland during Christmas time!

I got this blank frame at Michael's for $1, and got Mickey from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge, the Santa hat is from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge. ( Can I just say that I am totally loving my E2, it cuts so much better than my original Expression, with my old Cricut I wouldn't even attempt to make a Disney cut this small because I knew it would tear my paper even after playing around with the settings and blade.)

I added pop dots under Mickey and added red rick-rack ribbon to the top and placed 2 white buttons on top, and made my own chipboard shape using a sticker and 3 layers of cereal box chipboard for the sentiment.

Here's a close up of the clean lines on Mickey using my new E2! I also found the perfect green paint to match the paper.

BLOG CANDY!! In honor of me creating 12 projects 12 days in a row, I will be celebrating by giving away ONE $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online stores......  PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!!! Hi everyone welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop DAY 3 hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gifts 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.

For today's gift, I thought I'd make a cute gift box to hold some jewelry that I will be purchasing for my Aunt Rosemary, she is addicted to jewelry just like me :)  I made this box using the Life's A Party Cricut cartridge for the box, BTW-there's a lot of great boxes and party favors on that cart! I got the snowflake from the Winter Lace Seasonal Cricut cart that came out last year, I cut it out 3 times and poured Martha Stewart tinsel glitter on top of all 3. I placed a pop dot under all of them for some dimension and added a large piece of blue bling! For the label I hand cut it and stamped the To/From sentiment using Crafty Sprouts "HAVE A COOL YULE" stamp set and inked it up with blue chalk ink. For a final touch I added white lace to the bottom of the box to make it look more fancy!

Here's some major dimension, love it!

#240 Calendar Blog Hop/ 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Good morning sunshine's!! Today is a great day because I made something awesome that I've been wanting to make for years and just never got around to it..... a calendar! I made this calendar for 2 hops I'm in today, one which is a hop all about calendars and the other one is for the 12 days of Christmas hop where I will be creating 12 different gifts everyday until Dec. 6th. I apologize for having to do another cross-post today, I haven't really been home much in these last 3 days so it's been really hard to craft!

If you are here for the Calendar Blog Hop hosted by ZENI and just arrived here from Jessica's blog then you are in the right spot!

If you are here for DAY 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop hosted by Sylvia then you are in the right spot!

Yesterday was Black Friday and one of the longest days of my life LOL! But definitely worth it because I got a brand new Limited Edition Cricut E2 at Michael's at a great price! I am super excited that my parents bought it for me for Christmas (only I get to play with it now LOL!) I have had my original Cricut for over 3 years and I just wanted to trade in my bug for a newer younger model! Also, my hubby and I took our son Aidan to go watch The Muppets movie and that's what inspired my project! I thought the Muppets was such a great movie and it was really funny too!

I searched for the perfect Kermit SVG file and couldn't find the right one for my "vision" so I made my own SVG sort of! I found this Kermit the Frog "JPG" image which is actually a wallpaper for the computers here's the link KERMIT THE FROG HERE . . After I saved it to my computer I imported the "JPG" Kermit to the "Image" box on my SCAL2 and then broke apart all the layers to make it into an SVG. I had to do some major surgery to Kermit, I hand cut his tongue and had to hand cut the bottom half of his eyes and bottom half of his collar. I also drew in his smiley cheeks with a black marker.

I used my Crop a Dile to set the eyelets on top and added green/white twine from The Twinery and some black brads to hold all of the monthly calendars. I printed all of the calendars around the size of 3x5 or so (I was able to print 4 calendars per sheet of paper) I found the FREE calendars HERE.  The font I used was a free font that I had on my laptop that I used with my SCAL2. I used cereal box chipboard for the base of the calendar which is 6x12 inches total.

I am very happy with my Kermit the Frog calendar and I am so proud of myself for being able to figure out the JPG thing in my SCAL2, hey maybe one day I will get the courage to make my very first video!

Here's a closeup of the calendars, I printed them on basic printer paper, added the brads so you can easily rip out each page and still keep the calendar intact.

If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gift 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.

For my 1st day of Christmas project I made a sexy little vixen card to give to my hubby ;)

For Crafty Sprouts challenge this week the theme is "tag It". I cut the tag from Plantin Schoolbook and embossed the sentiment using embossing powder. The sentiment says "Is it too late to be good" using Crafty Sprouts Have a cool yule stamp set. I colored this digi stamp called "Cheeky Kitty" from The Greeting farm Stamps using Prismacolor pencils. I also cut the scallop shape from A Child's Year Cricut cart and embossed it with a Basic Grey snowflake folder using my Cuttlebug. Click HERE to enter in Crafty Sprouts "Tag It" challenge!

#237-283 Crafty Sprouts New Release blog Hop/ Nurse Smurfette and Twilight Cards

****CLICK HERE to view DAY 1****

Hi everyone!! Good morning and welcome to the much anticipated Day 2 of Crafty Sprouts Stamps New Release blog hop, hosted by Erika AKA Crafty Sprouts! If you are here fromKristi's Blog then you are in the right spot! Erika has come up with some FABULOUS new awesome stamps the our DT is going nuts over LOL!! Believe me you will not be dissapointed you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Them all!!

The first set I will be showing is called "FEELING ICKY" this is a great set for someone who isn't feeling well and needs a lift!

When I first saw this sentiment "Does the flu have you feeling blue?" I automatically thought of the Smurfs!! Luckily I have the bestest blog friends ever and my sweet friend Monica saved me because she knows how to make files into SVG's woo-hoo!!! I searched and searched for a Nurse Smurfette and I couldn't find one and Monica aka Simply Cricutting was glad to help, thanks girl you are the BEST!!!!

Nurse Smurfette was a little challenging to piece together because this didn't have an outline on where to put all the pieces like a Cricut cart does, so I pieced it together just buy looking at the picture online, I wanted to give up but I'm glad I didn't because I didn't want to let my friend down and it was worth it in the end, Nurse Smurfette is soooo cute!! I also added twine and inked up the paper with Broken China Distress Ink and added pop dots under her and the sentiment.

Here's a closeup of the sentiment and also the entire Feeling Icky stamp set it is available for pre-order HERE

The next set is the very much anticipated "FANPIRE" stamp set that we the DT have been drooling over for a while LOL! I am so glad Erika decided to make a Vanpire themed stamp set how smart and cool is that!!

I found this amazing Edward SVG for FREE HERE on Mardenz Blog I am so happy that I made the switch to SVG's because I haven't bought a new Cricut cartridge in months!! Especially when I can get SVG's for free or dirt cheap woo-hoo!!!

I cut the Edward SVG with my SCAL 2 using my Cricut Expression (also for smurfette) and then I placed him upside down in my Xyron sticker machine and poured black Halloween Martha Stewart glitter on top. I stamped the music notes with a background stamp and sprayed red Glimmer mist all over and inked the edges with Black Soot Distress ink, I colored my bling with a black marker because I didn't have black bling this large! I used my DCWV paper stack that looks like Twilight paper for the red rose background paper and distressed it using my Heart Attack paper sander from We R Memory keepers, and added some blace lace ribbon.

Here's a close up of Edward and the stamp I used along with the entire "FANPIRE" stamp set that is available for pre-order HERE
I hoe you enjoyed this release because I LOVE it and I could picture using both these sets for so many different things! have a great weekend and have fun watching Edward, Bella and  Jacob on the big screen this weekend!!

***Just a reminder be sure to leave a comment on all the DT's blogs both days to win all 4 New Release stamp sets!***

#236 Crafty Sprouts New Release Blog Hop! Grumpy Card and Baby Boy Card

****Big Announcement HERE**** Guess what everyone I found out I'm having a baby GIRL and I am soooooo excited I can't stop smiling and I feel like the first time I ever went to Disneyland when I was a kid LOL! Yesterday was one of my most happiest days in my life you have no idea! I feel so blessed that God has blessed me with a little boy and now a baby GIRL!!! Our family is complete!! I can't wait until she comes in April!

Ok now onto the hop, I just had to keep my lovely followers up to date on my pregnancy status LOL!

Hi everyone!! Good morning and welcome to the much anticipated Crafty Sprouts Stamps New Release blog hop, hosted by Erika AKA Crafty Sprouts! If you are here from Kristi's Blog then you are in the right spot! Erika has come up with some FABULOUS new awesome stamps the our DT is going nuts over LOL!! Believe me you will not be dissapointed you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Them all!!

The first set that we will be previewing is called "SMILE ON" it's a stamp set with some very smiley and happy thoughts!

When I first saw this sentiment "A Smile A Day Keeps The Grumpies away" I automatically thought of Grumpy from Snow White.... isn't he so cute!?! I've always liked Grumpy and thought he was so serious and so funny haha! I wanted to make this card unisex in case any of my friends are going through a tough time, or in case my hubby is being a little grumpy himself haha!

I stamped the background stamp with Market Street "grid" stamp, and added a border with my Fiskars punch and some yellow buttons, I really wanted this card to be bright and cheery! I also added pop dots underneath Grumpy. I used the Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge for the die cut.

A close up of this awesome stamp and the entire "Smile On" stamp set. You can Pre-Order it HERE!!!

Now for my 2nd sneak peek "ROCK THAT BABY BUMP" I made this card for one of my oldest friends Regina, I've known her since 2003 and both of our hubby's used to work together in the Marine Corps. and we made a pregnancy pact last year LOL (so true!) well, guess what.... we are both pregnant at the same time Omg!!! She is due 3 weeks before me and she is having a little boy!

For this card I used 2 layers of Kraft paper and embossed one with the large dots embossing folder with my Cuttlebug and did some inking with Antique Linen Distress ink. I got the booties from my New Arrival Cricut Cartridge and added some brown ribbon bows and blue buttons. The eyelet lace I used here I got at Wamart for like $1 and it's actually white! I sprayed the lace with blue Glimmer Mist, the color is "Cornflower" and it's one of the "Chalkboard" Glimmer Mist inks. I LOVE the way the ribbon came out, because it looks like jeans, and plus now I can make and lace into ANY color yay!!!

I love this Bootie Call sentiment haha!! Hey that's how we get babies in the first place from "Bootie Calls" from our hubby's or boyfriends LOL!!!!!!! My friend will get a kick out of this one! Here is the close up of the "ROCK THAT BABY BUMP" below, and you can Pre-Order it HERE

A special thanks to Erika, you are so amazing and talented and I am so happy to be on a DT with such talented sweet DT sisters! Love you guys!

I hope you all have enjoyed my baby stories and a little history LOL! And of course the New Releases!! be sure to stop by tomorrow for the other 2 releases by CRAFTY SPROUTS STAMPS!!

#232 Thanksgiving Blog Hop /Napkin Ring Holders

Hi everyone!! Good morning and welcome to the Thanksgiving Blog Hop hosted by the wonderful Sylvia from http://www.bellascrapbookdesigns.blogspot.com/ if you are here from Sylvia's blog you are in the right spot! This is going to be a very fun and exciting blog hop because it's all about table decor for any Thanksgiving dinner or party!

For my project I wanted to make something simple for Thanksgiving that I could mass produce, since we may be celebrating Thanksgiving for the first time ever at my house this year woo-hoo.... the pressure's on LOL! So if it's going to be at my house things are going to be done my way, meaning Cloth Napkins!!! Yep, I use cloth napkins all the time in my house, I guess I just got tired of buying napkins all the time and wasting money on something that is going in the trash. I figured what the heck I can do cloth napkins they are great for the environment and affordable too! All I have to do to clean them is wash them whenever I wash my towels easy peasy!

To make these very awesomely cute napkin rings I recycled!! I have been saving T.P. rolls for a very long time thinking I would some day make a t.p. roll mini album well I haven't yet so napkin rings will do!

First make sure all of the t.p. is off of the roll, then cover with cute paper the size was 4 x 2.5inches,then I cut the t.p. roll in have so each piece is 2 x 2.5 inches. I bought these adorable pilgrims from My Grafico they are on SALE right now!!! I printed them on white cardstock the size of a wallet size photo (you can print up to 9 per page), then cut them out with my scissors by hand. Once I was done cutting I placed one pop dot underneath the pilgrims for some cute dimension. This will be the cutest Thanksgiving dinner I've ever been to LOL!

BLOG CANDY!!!!! Woo-hoo!! I am giving away 1- Heidi Grace Christmas clear stamp set to 1-Lucky Follower just leave me a comment telling me your favorite Thanksgiving food or desert! mine is HAM!! I will announce a random winner on Monday Nov. 28th Good Luck!

*** I hope I have you some inspiration on what to do with your empty T.P. rolls you've been holding on too LOL! I am excited to try this I think I will make them for every holiday and party that I have, they would be so cute for Christmas, B-days and Valentine's day awww!***

Just a reminder please stop by my blog tomorrow (Sunday if you get a chance I will be in one more hop this weekend I made a fabulous Christmas banner for a children's hospital!)

For my project I just knew I wanted to make a skeleton with a rose in her hair so I did!! I stamped the sentiment "always and forever" using a wedding stamp set and then embossed with my cuttlebug and inked it up with Walnut stain distress ink. I also added borders with my flower scallop border punch.

Here's some awesome pics of the Dia De Los Muertos festival we went to in '09 in Oceanside, CA it was so much fun!!
