#174 Banana Bread Tag-Paper Playtime Challenge

***Click HERE for the I love the 80's Blog Hop!***

Hello everyone I hope you had a great weekend and are now ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas LOL! I think it's kinda funny how we jump from one holiday to the next without any breaks! Speaking of I made this banana bread loaf and tag for my mom which would be a great Christmas gift idea wink wink LOL! If you are new to my blog I am a Queen (Designer) at Paper Playtime and this weeks fabulous challenge is to make something with a clock, tag, or ticket fun huh! I had so many things I wanted to do for this challenge but I decided to go with a banana bread tag since my bananas were starting to get black. The tag is from Forever Young and the bread loaf is from From My Kitchen, I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Stamp, stamped the sentiment, inked the edges punched a hole at the top and put my ribbon in and put a brown button on it. Oh yeah I almost forgot I cut tag on a Cereal box/chipboard to make the tag sturdy and I just put tape behind the tag and taped it to the plastic wrap over the banana bread. My mom loved it so much, she especially loved how I stamped the faces! I love the face that is already cut with the sad face LOL, it's saying Ahhh, uh-oh, oh no! I'm a dork LOL, don't mind me when I talk to myself ha ha! So anyways we are sponsored this week by Doodle Pantry and don't forget to join in our challenge at Paper Playtime for the clocks, tag, or ticket challenge! I am also entering in The Paper Players Challenge which is "Anything Goes".

Happy Halloween everyone!! I hope you guys are having lots of fun, it seems like everyone is celebrating Halloween on all 3 days it's so much fun! I just wanted to share with you guys a quick post of the pumpkins my son and I carved last week which I kept forgetting to post. Both images were cut from the Pumpkin Carvings cartridge at 8 inches. I cut it on computer paper then I taped the cut out template on the pumpkin and the rest is history. It's so cut because my little 3 year old soon chose this pumpkin face, I asked him 3 different times and everytime he said "That" and pointed, awwh my baby is growing up so fast. We've been carving pumpkins every year since he was born, and this is the first time he chose his pumpkin design!
Here is my sad sad pumpkin =(    I assure you it looked so awesome, but I don't know what was wrong with me that day and I forgot to take pics of the pumpkins finale, I didn't take the pics until they were rotting, mine is a spooky tree with a graveyard, also from Pumpkin Carvings!
LOL you can even see the mold and the pumkin juices dripping out YUCK it was a mess, and for some reason only lasted 2 days, normally they last me about a week.Have a wonderful spooky day!!

#172 Cutting Fabric in the Cricut plus BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! (Long post)

***I love the 80's Blog Hop still going on HERE***

Happy Halloween everyone!! I am having a 3 day Halloween celebration it started with a Trunk or Treat yesterday and a Halloween Block Party today in my neighborhood and tommorow a festival and maybe more trick or treating, busy but still managed to MAKE my costume!! I am going to tell you all about it here and some GREAT NEWS!! I am going to be part of 2 Blog Hops so please mark your calendars because there will be lots of giveaways! Here's the buttons feel free to post them on your blogs and link back to my blog you won't want to miss out! The 1st one is "My Thanksgiving Blessings Blog Hop" on November 20-21 it's a  Saturday and Sunday for the Design Team that I am on called Inking it Up Crazy

And for the 2nd Blog Hop that I am part of I can happily say that it was all my idea yep little ol' me ha ha! I suggested to me sweet dear bloggy friend Janis that we should have a QUEEN Blog Hop with all of the Queens for the other Design Team I am on at Paper Playtime which is on December 11th Saturday which is going to be our "Stocking Stuffer Blog Hop" I am super excited because we are all going to be making inexpenive stocking stuffers or small handmade gifts. I have been brainstorming all about this I have soooooo many ideas!! I hop you all are able to make it and feel free to post it on your blog/facebook!

Okay so my other BIG ANNOUNCEMENT is: I Made my Lady Gaga Halloween costume up above at the beginning of this post with my Cricut Expression!! I will give you step by step instructions on how I did it, I still can't believe I actually did it I was so scared LOL!
My inspiration Was to be Lady Gaga, I think everyone knows who this is, for those of you who do not know who she is she is a Mega Super Famous Pop Star Musical Artist /entertainer/trendsetter ,etc.! Anyways I wanted to be her this year for Halloween I love Halloween and me and my honey dress up every year with our son Aidan.  Lady Gaga costumes were so popular and expensive after a lot of research on which costume I wanted to copy I saw this one I thought hey I could do that!

Step 1: Get a Yellow T-Shirt from Michael's cost me $3
Step 2: Get Pellon "Wonder Under"  Iron-on Transfer fabric/paper from Joann's cost $1.99 per yard I used my 40% off coupon, And buy your choice color fabric I chose Black Fabric.
Step 3:Iron! Place rough side of Wonder Under to black Fabric and iron.

Step 4: Cut Fabric in Cricut!!! Sorry no pic =(  Okay pay attention and take notes here it will save you time! Place the sheet that you just ironed see pic above it the one I just ironed, place that on your mat with the Wonder Under stuck to the mat and the fabric facing you, make sure your mat is sticky! Speed Medium, Pressure Max, Blade 6 and Cut it 3x! My fabric was Kind of thick and I tried cutting 3 different times I got the best results with these settings. I cut the Mickey image from Mickey and friends cricut Cartridge. Okay now you are going get your Mickey heads and off to the next step!

Step 5: Attaching Image to Shirt. You are going to peel off the Wonder Under  and place your image on your shirt and get a damp cloth. Place the damp cloth over your image and iron over the damp cloth and then you remove your cloth and you will see that your fabric is magically glued to your shirt!! This was my 1st time ever buying fabric in my life, I felt weird at Joann's buying it, like I was cheating on the scrapbook section LOL! Oh I also cut some parts of my shirt off the sleeves, and the neck area. Here is the final picture and if you would like to see the video that I watched over and over on how to make this check out My Pink Stamper. I watched it about 2 or 3 times, plus the instructions were on the Wonder Under Package it was really easy and I will do it again. UPDATE: After waering this costume for 7 hours last night the Mickey head started peeling off half way, I am thinking maybe I didnt iron long enough because it was heavy fabric. At least they didn't fall off and it held up for 7 hours. So my completed costume with shirt, fabric, wonder under, black lipstick, wig and glasses was only $20! That's great compared to $70 for the complete look at the costume stores. I hope I motivated and inspired you all to cut fabic in your Cricut and to not be scared like me LOL!Happy Halloween!! Love you guys!!

Be sure to check out the I love the 80's Blog Hop still going on now right HERE!! I am also entering my Halloween costume at Fantabulous Cricut for their challenge which is Halloween Ideas.

#170 I love the 80's Blog Hop

My Blog Candy!!!
Hey everyone welcome to the I LOVE  the 80's Blog Hop!!! We are celebrating Raven's birthday today with a hop! I would like to thank Raven for letting me be apart of this 80's hop I think it is such a great theme for a hop, and I want to give her a big giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Be sure to start the hop on her blog for a chance at 4 awesome giveaways.

For my 80's inspired card I made this super cool totally awesome radio card from Rock Princess. I put some black distress ink on some parts of the radio and put stickles on the white parts. I stamped the large flourish background stamps and stamped and colored the "Live Loud" sentiment. I also added some hot pink ribbon and put a pop dot underneath the sentiment and underneath the music notes, and the antenna too. I really wanted this card to look like a lot of blush on a woman's face from the 80's LOL! So I put a lot of Worn Lipstick Distress ink and a little bit of black distress ink to the edges and really smeared it on. I then added some Yellow colored glimmer mist. What to you think does it look like messy hot pink 80's make up LOL! I guess all I need is some blue eyshadow and spandex!

For my give away of these cute girly stamps with perfect sentiments for card making all you have to do is leave me a COMMENTand be a FOLLOWER! Take care and have fun on your journey back in time to the 80's I feel like watching E.T. or Back to the Future now LOL! Here's the order of the blog hop:

#169 Happy Haunting Vampire Card

Hi everyone I had so much fun making this time consuming card LOL but definately worth it! First off I punched the enitre border with the bat MS punch. Then I stamped blood droplets on the red paper but you can't really see them because I embossed the red paper with my new Tim Holtz embossing folder which I love! I inked the embossed portion with distress ink. I cut the window frame and put the leftover bats in it from the border punch. The window frame and the drippy goo shape where I stamped my sentiment are from October 31st. Mr. Vampire guy is Happy Hauntings I cut his body parts on white paper since he is DEAD then put a little put of Antique Linen (light tan color ink) on him to give him some color but not enough to make him look alive. I stamped his face with Peachy Keen and gave him some blood droplets because he just ate someone....I wanted to put a dead body in the window seal but then I thought some people my be scared of my card LOL! I also distressed the outer edges of my card where the bats are.

The spooky house on the hill, and the skull and bones are from the October 31st cart I highly recommend getting that one! The headless guy on the horse is from Happy Hauntings, I embossed the background paper with my cuttlebug, and punched out some drippy goo from a MS punch, did some distressing and I made 2 handmade black paper roses. I also stamped the sentiment from a MS stamp and added some lace on the bottom. Be sure to scroll down and see my cute softball girl card with an extra special sentiment Thanks!

#167 Softball Just Because Card

Hello and good evening everyone! I made this card for Throwback Thursday which is Sport's Theme. This was a real challenge for me since I don't like sports, I just got this sentiment stamp at the Scrapbook Expo that I went to on Sat. and I was thinking of Emma's Challenge and how perfect this would be to use this sentiment with a baseball/softball player swinging a bat, or even a golfer, tennis player! Yep I was thinking of you Emma while I was shopping LOL!!! The scallop sqaure is from Gypsy Wanderings and the girl is from Everyday Paper Dolls I love making dolls! I then added some Prima flowers, brads and a pop dot to the ball to complete the look. Keep an eye out because I will be posting more projects tonight HINT Halloween cards, baby card, and a layout! I ordered Happy Hauntings from Oh My Crafts at a great deal of $22 but it took almost 3 weeks to get here =( I guess they were out of stock. I just love this cut so much from Happy Hauntings, it is the frame, bird on top and the 2 bats on the sides and also the witch. I made this for my very best friend Melyssa I wish we could hang out more but she is a nurse and she lives 1 1/2 hours away from me. I thought this was the perfect sentiment because she says this all the time at Halloween time LOL! I put stickles on the bats, and bird, embossed the white paper with a spiderweb Fiskars plate with my cuttlebug, stamped the spiders and the sentiment. I added ribbon, purple drippy goo, and colored the outer parts with black Dew Drop  chalk ink. Hey everyone!Welcome back to my blog! Here's a very unique "Think Outside the box" kind of card! I made a candy filled snowglobe just in time for Halloween. I wonder if any stores have every made a candy filled snowglobe, I think that would be a great idea LOL! The candy and the actual snowglobe are from Christmas Cheer, I placed 2 in my Gypsy, flipped one of them and then welded them together. I stamped the sentiment the put the bottom portion in  my cuttlebug then I put some purple chalk ink over the embossed area. I cut the circle layer on a transperancy and put the glitter on the candy, and put a brad on the centers of the candy. This is my 1st time experimenting with transperancies it was thick and hard to cut in my cricut, but that won't stop me from using it. I will add a new tab to my "Right" side bar area for Transperancies so keep and eye out, and remember you may click on those at anytime for some specific inspiration!  Here is the challenge I am entering:

#157 Witch Poison Treat Bag

Good morning or should I say good afternoon in some places! For some of you who don't know already I am part of a new Design Team called  Inking it Up Crazy Kassidy will have the designers making Fall projects with our Cricuts every 2 weeks, please stop by her blog so you can see what the other designers have made =) This week she wanted us to make a Treat Bag or Box or something to hold Halloween treats in. I knew I wanted to make a bag from Mini Monsters so I chose this one it originally had a green monster on it with wings or arms in the handbook. I hid all of the little outlines with my Gypsy and cut out the black bird with the with hat. Don't you think I thought of  aperfect sentiment to go with that bird LOL he looks like he was posioned or going crazy because of all the sugar he ate LOL! The letters are from a Martha Stewart punch that I got recently at Michaels with that 50% coupon for Martha Stewart. The letters are so teeny tiny, I really wanted to get something so I could come out with my own sentiments so keep an eye out because I have so many ideas!!! These letters are so tiny I could fit 4 letters on my pinky finger nail, so maybe about 1/8 or 1/10 of an inch.

#156 Orange You Cute!

********This is my 3rd post today please scroll down for more =)*******

It's that time again for me to be featured as a Queen at Paper Playtime! This week's theme is to use the color ORANGE as the main color. I had this one all planned out from the day I saw what the theme was, I already knew I wanted to make something with the "Orange you Cute Title" Don't you just love it! So I used my Cricut Markers to draw out the title with my Nursery Ryhmes cartridges...sadly that's my 1st time using that cart and I've had it for months =(   Then I put orange stickles inside the letters to make the letters look kinda like stickers. I cut the little boy from B is for Boy cart and stamped with my Peachy Keen Stamps. I cut the large green tag from Nursery Rhymes also and I embossed with my new Polka Dot embossing folder with my cuttlebug.  The Orange juice cup is from Just Because Cards and I put Glossy Accents on the "juice" part, the actual orange fruit is from My World cart and I also put stickles on the leaf part. I did some random stamping with a flower stamp and used my Spiced Marmalade (Orange colored) Distress ink around the edges and for the flowers. I stitched my orange buttons with blue embroidery floss and stapled down my journaling strips. I hope you like the outcome and all of the details LOL! Please join in on the fun at Paper Playtime and become a follower this week we are sponsored by Cravin Scrappin and are doing a GIVE AWAY which is a CRICUT CARTRIDGE!!

#151 and #152 Halloween/Fall Blog Hop here!! Blog Candy Too!

This banner is about 5 feet long it fits perfectly over my NON-working fireplace LOL!

You can win these stamps!! Just leave me a comment on which cartridge you are going to buy next! You do not have to be a follower allthough I do welcome all newcomers!

Hey ladies welcome to our Halloween and Fall Blog Hop!! If you are here from Lorraine's blog you are in the right spot. If you would like to start from the beginning at Stephanie's Blog Always Crafting click HERE.  I created this Halloween banner from cutting scallop squares on black cardstock at 10 inches or so.  I cut the varies pumpkin faces and the Trick or Treat  sign from the Pumpkin Carvings cartridge I cut all of these on 8.5x11 orange cardstock. I used my Gypsy to measure them up correctly. I punched holes on each side of the scallop squares so that I can tie my orange spiderweb ribbon into bows. This banner was about the same size as my fireplace....about 5 feet or so and it was very easy to create!

For my graveyard Halloween card I challenged myself to make a card with a color I don't use that much...gray!  I was inspired by a cemetary at night, with a gray foggy sky. The ghost and two round headstones are from Paper doll Dress Up. The cross headstone is from October 31st. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen stamped, stamped the tree and stamped the sentiment, and I also did some faux stitching and added a pop dot to the ghost. I also added a border strip from the MS Drippy goo punch.

Lastly, I would like to thank Stephanie for hosting this blog hop and for choosing me to be one of the 11 stops! She was sponsored by scrapadabadoo and we have a grand prize which is a Tim Holtz On The Edge Die, signed by him and a Kaiser Craft Paper Pack called Jades Garden. To be qualiied for the grand prize you MUST leave a comment on all 11 blogs.  For my blog candy give away which is a set of Fiskars/So much Thanks clear Stamp set you must leave me a comment, you do not have to be a follower to win, allthough all newcomer's are welcome! I want to make it fun, leave me a comment and tell me which cartridge you are going to buy next....I'll start....I want to buy the new cartridge called Birthday Bash!! Now for your next stop.....Jess have fun and remeber to leave comments on all blogs to win the grand prize an autographed Tim Holtz die!!

#150 Make do and Mend Card My 150th Cricut Project!!!

I loooovvveee the way this card came out so much it's so me I love lace and glitter and pink LOL! Even on clothes and purses! I made this card for the BBTB2 challenge this week to use the sewing machine. I finally got some courage and bought some cricut Markers in black and brown, I have been wanting to try these for about a year now but I have been so scared....I don't know why. I just get tired of my tiny cuts like letters, etc. getting ruined because the paper is too thin or something and I get mad! So I really love these cricut Markers and I am going to use them all the time they were so easy, I think it's easier than cutting out an image....can you imagine how the Imagine would be???? Oh and I used a 50% off coupon at Joann's so they were only $7.50 for a pack of 5 black and brown markers. Keep an eye out because I will be posting more projects with them...yay for cricut Markers!

So I cut the machine from Heritage, put in my xyron sticker machine upside down and poured pink MS Glitter on it. I put beige lace on my card with 3 black buttons to make it look kinda like clothes. I did some distressing with my Walnut Stain ink.

#149 Horse b-day card

I made this card for my son's 3rd b-day which was yesterday Oct. 2nd, aka National Card Making day!! I never knew that LOL! He's really into horses right now everything from horse toys, horses on tv, and also seeing the horses in my neighborhood. The horse, fence and bird are all one button feature cut on the country life Cart. I stamped the sentiment on a tag from Fabulous Finds and pierced holes and did some stitching with embroidery floss.  I think I am going to start stitching more on my projects this was only my second time doing it I really feel like I accomplished something once I was done with this card! Oh yeah I forgot...I tied a knot with the twine and put it through the holes on the tag.

#148 Danger haunted ghost house card *****NEWS FLASH*******

Hey everyone I have some awesome news for you!! Today (October 2nd) was my son's 3rd birthday Happy Birthday Aidan! Also I was selected to be a Fall Designer at Inking it up Crazy Kassidy is so sweet to have picked me I was so very super excited and happy yay! She also chose 5 other designers for her Fall DT, she will be posting our projects every other week. Here is a card I made for her blog she wanted us to do a pumpkin theme this week. My inspiration for this card was actually from a show that I am obsessed with called "True Blood" it's about vampires. This house from the October 31st cartridge reminds me of Bill compton's house....a character. So I made it a very spooky bloody torture house beware because there are haunting pumpkins in front (Doodlecharms) and bloody ghost (stamps) and blood dripping everywhere (MS Drippy goo punch), there is also a haunted moon (Plantin Schoolbook) with an evil witch(Stamps) flying over the house!!! I made an opening on the door so you can see the bloody ghost when you open it. The other fantastic news is I will be part of a Blog Hop going on right here tommorow October 3rd at 8am EST. I will be giving out blog candy to one lucky winner, there will be 10 stops and many chances to win more blog candy I hope everyone can make it!!
