#124 Welcome to the Nest Layout

Look at all my stamping I did!
The cutest little chick!

For this weeks challenge the DT was asked to use a digi from The Stamping Boutique I am so happy that they are sponsering some of our challenges. The theme at Paper Playtime this week is Old McDonald Had a farm EIEIO, you many interpret this in any way you DO NOT have to use a digi to enter...the winner this week will win 5 FREE digis of their choice including the one here in my LO!!! I stamped the entire upper part of my paper with different flower stamps, the owls on a branch and stamps that say "dream" "bloom" and "look who's here" I added ribbon underneath the large photo and it says "Thank Heaven for little boys", I also added stickers to the bottom right. The hatched egg is from Hoot n Holler and the bird's nest is from CAC. I added a prima flower with some yellow bling with my new i-rock tool that I just got, I got it from Oh my Crafts for $12 great deal and it came in about 1 week from ordering. The little chick inside the egg is the digi that the Stamping Boutique gave us I put pop dots under the eggs to make it look like the chick insn't in the egg because it just hatched LOL! "welcome" is from Sentimentals, this is a great cart and no one ever gives it much credit....I will probably post more project with it soon It has a lot of great titles and cards, and the rest of the title is from All Mixed Up.

#123 Our Baby Layout

I was so happy to see that I was able to submit this layout to two challenges which are Babies theme at My Sheri Crafts and metal theme at Paper Cutz. The "our" and little brown bear are from the Heritage Cartridge that I bought 2 months ago, but haven't got to use it since it won't link to my Gypsy, I have called Provo Craft twice and they still haven't replaced it =(   So I had to do it the old school way and actually put the cartridge in my Cricut....wow I am so used to my Gypsy, I felt so lost LOL! All of the flowers are Prima and Recollections except for the two paper roses that I made. I added 3 different types of ribbon and different brads, buttons and bling to the center of the flowers. The "baby" title is from a little coupon stack from K & Company. I embossed the 'our' and the journaling spot on the bottom left and used some white ink to make it look aged. I also used my Walnut stain distress ink on the photos and around the page.

#122 Magical Mistletoe Layout

The challenge over at My Pink Stamper is to make a Winter themed project. I wanted to make something other than a card so I made a layout of my honey kissing me under the mistletoe in Christmas '07.  The Magical title is from the Tinker Bell cart, the mistletoe title is from Lyrical Letters and the mistletoe border and mistletoe over the pic is from Joys of the Season. I put the mistletoe up side down in my 5 inch Xyron machine then sprinkled with red, green and brown Martha Stewart glitter. For the Holly berries aka the red dots, I attached glue dots to the page and put red glitter on top. I got a green marker and doodled over the swirls that were already on the page, I just wanted them to pop more!

#121 See you later card

I made this sweet alligator card for my sweet husband he is deploying to Iraq in 3 days he's not in the military anymore it's just his job. I am so sad, scared and stressed to see him go. We have never been away from eachother for more than 2 weeks and he is going to leave us for about 5 months.....I am going to be busy catching up on all my scrapbooks. I made this so he can read it on the plane. My sweet dear friend Stephanie has started a new challenge on her blog on Wednesdays and the first challenge is to use create a critter, I am also submitting to Sentimental Sunday's which is to make a card that is clean and simple. For those of you who don't know I love making simple and easy cards, but my scrapbook layouts....that's a different story it takes me about 1 1/2 to 3 hours per layout I know why so long LOL!! The alligator is from Create a critter I chopped his tail off my accident oh well! I stamped the sentiment that says "See you later alligator, after a while crocodile" then I embossed the white paper with my cuttlebug.

#120 Cathedral Layout ( The Paper Player's)

For the challenge at The Paper Player's the theme is simple...anything goes!! Here is a layout of a Cathedral that I saw while on vactaion I wanted the layout to be really old fashioned. The chapel/church and the crosses are from Tie the Knot, the Cathedral title is from Storybook. I added three pieces of patterened paper, a gold/greenish color ribbon behind the title and rose border stickers. I embossed the church and the 3 crossed with my cuttlebug.

#119 "A" for Aidan Page (2 new Challenges!)

This week's challenge at Frosted Designs it is circles theme. This is my first to participating in one of their challenges, they have so many unique challenges week after week, they inspire me!! I cut all of the circles from Plantin schoolbook at 3inches and I cut the pictures of my son from a 3 inch circle punch. The A title where I did my journaling is from the Robotz cartridge. The cutie little bear is from CAC I stamped with my Peachy keen stamps. I made my own embellishment with a safety pin and added a Prima flower and a large brad. All of the flowers here are Prima flowers and I added brads, buttons, and bling to them. The butterflies are from the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and the are "landing" on a sticker that says "Because I'm cute that's why!" I am also entering this to another challenge blog that I just found called Stampin Sisters in Christ their theme this week is to use metal, I found that it was perfect since I used a paper clip, a circle style swirly metal clip, and different brads.

#118 Love Bug Card for (Paper Playtime)

For this week's challenge theme at Paper Playtime the theme is Anniversary since it is Janis' anniversary, congrats Janis I hope you have another amazing year of marriage!! The Love bug title is from CAC I embossed with my Cuttlebug and did some inking. The scallop circle is from Accent Essentials and the car is from Sweethearts, I did miss a layer....that's what I get for just using my Gypsy and not looking at the handbooks. I think they should create a function on the Gypsy were you can see a color example of the entire cut just like in the books what do you think?? I added 2 strips of gold christmas ribbon LOL and 3 black blings. All of the paper I used is from the Summer Stack 2010 from DCWV.

#117 Cutie Patootie Baby bee's page

I love the way my homemade embellishment turned out. It started with a 12x12 K&Co. paper, corner punched it, stamped the sentiment, dragonfly, added a Pima flower and a bee embellishment and 3 pieces of bling.
I'm finally trying to finish completing my son's baby album, I feel motivated! The bees are from Pooh and Friends aren't they the cutest bees ever!?!  I did a lot of stamping here I stamped "Patootie" the swirly's, the sentiment shown at the bottom and the small dragonfly. For the corners of the page I used some baby sayings rub-ons and the "Cutie" title are cameo style Martha Stewart stickers.

#116 Cupcake card and envelope Plus Great news I won Top 3, plus some blog awards!!

In honor of me winning some cupcake awards I made this cupcake card, liner and envelope from Wild Card, the scallop square and cupcake are from ACY.  To mae the cupcake glittery I put it in my Xyron sticker machine then put pink Martha Stewart glitter on top it sticks perfectly, no glitter crumbs LOL, then I put a red button on top of the cupcake, I stamped the sentiment then embossed with clear embossing powder. So the great new is that my Purse Birthday Card won top 3 for Party Time Tuesday's, also I've gotten a few awards over the last month but haven't posted them since I sometimes have trouble designing this blog, I hope I didn't offened anyone by not posting it right way.  Thanks to my husband he finally showed me how to post stuff on my sidebar LOL!

#115 Vampire Territory LO (40:31 Creations Challenge)

I made this  LO for Lauren's Halloween challenge at 40:31 Creations, this is my first time submitting a challenge at her blog....hopefully I win the awesome candy LOL!  So the first thing I did was look through my paper pile and I found this patterened paper with a haunted house and a moon design. I made this LO look like the Vampire's live there and that's why I called it "Vampire Territory".....I've been watching too much True Blood and Twighlight LOL! The word Vampire is from Mini Monster's, Territory is from Lyrical Letters, the daddy vamp and baby vamp are from Paper doll Dress up, the bats and the drippy goo are from the new October 31st cartridge. I know everyone's going to being asking how did I do that so here it goes.... The drippy goo is actually a cut that says "Velcome" it is a diamond shaped sign with drippy goo on top and botttom of it, so I used my Gypsy to weld 2 together and I scooted them both all the way up on my mat screen so it only left about 2 1/2 inches showing, but the originial size says 6 inches. The small blood droplets are from A child's year, they are rain drops and I hid the slit with my Gypsy. I hope I didn't confuse you too much, if I get enough request I will post a photo tutorial and the drippy goo.
Continuing... the "eek" sign and the "I want candy...Blood" are from the DCVW stack and I just cut out the little squares. Notice the bick of my son licking his lips that's why I crossed out the "candy" part and wrote "blood". I just couldn't stop laughing while making this layout I was evening talking in Vampire language to son while making it. I hope you like it, my husband loved it so much because I made it scary just for him and my son Aidan. This was Halloween 2008 and my son just learned how to walk a few days before Halloween perfect for Trick or Treating!

#114 Purse Birthday Card (Party Time Tuesdays)

For this weeks birthday challenge at Party Time Tuesday's we had to make a birthday card using the colors pink, brown and white.  Since I got FY a while back ago I've been dying to make a purse card so I finally made it happen LOL! I used my Gypsy to weld the 2 purses together and cut on white cardstock, then added a layer of patterened paper, the card fits perfectly in a 5x7 envelope.  I embossed the flower and leaves with my Cuttlebug then added stickles and a brown button. The tag is also from Forever Young which I stamped with a sentiment (To make it look like a price tag) the attached ribbon to the tag and the bottom of the card.

#113 Gingerbread man Card (Throwback Thursday)

For this weeks Throwback Thursday at My Creative Time For Me we had to use Paper Doll Dress up and frame it. I cut the envelope, liner, card, sentiment, and scallop circle all from Wild Card. I used my Gypsy to see exactly what size I needed to cut the little cookie man! I added green stickles to "Season's Greetings" and drew on the icing and candy on the gingerbread man. I cuttlebugged  the scallop circle then distressed it. For the envelope and gingerbread man I cut them on Kraft paper and then looked through my stash and found the perfect gingerbread man paper. Wow everything was really working out here, to top it off this card and envelope only took me about 15 to 20 minutes, I think I'm getting hooked on Wild Card I like making fast and easy cards but I like taking a long time for my layouts since I have so many pics piled up...go figure!

#111 and #112..... 1 Owl, 2 Ways (More than Favors & Jitterbuggin' Challenges)

The theme for Wacky Wednesday at More Than Favors was to create a birthday card. My hubby asked me to make a b-day card for his brother so I decided to make an owl card and use my owl stamp set that I got recently at M's. The talk bubbles are from Gypsy Wanderings and the stamps say.."Who's having a birthday...Jovanny is" " I hope it's a Hoot!" the owl and party hat are from Hoot n Holler. The reason I did 1 owl 2 ways is because I originally cut the orange layer yellow and I wasn't happy with the color combo, I didn't want to waste that yellow owl layer LOL so I made this Thankgiving owl card for Jitterbuggin':
Here's the sketch we had to make a card with a cricut animal and add stripes.
My version and the original yellow owl layer!
For this weeks theme at Jitterbuggn' we had to follow the Born to be wild sketch ***see above***. I am getting a head start on my many Holiday cards that I'm going to be making this year. The owl is from Hoot n Holler  the paper is from the new Autum stack from DCWV the lacy punch is from Martha Stewart. I cut a strip of striped paper and stamped Happy Thanksgiving and adhered to the brown lacy paper.

#110 Birthday Flower Pot Card (Cricut Cardz) Winner!!

Great new's!!! My Lollipop Card (See my post #104)  won challenge #37 at Cricut Cardz now lets hope I win the grand prize at the end of the month, I'm not sure what the prize is LOL! For this week's challenge at Cricut Cardz the theme is easy: Any theme, any cut, any color so I made my grandma a birthday card with Freshly Picked since she has a huge garden with so many plants. The flower pot is from Freshly Picked I embossed the yellow pot with my Cuttlebug, I also embossed the scallop square from Accent Essentials with my CBug. I added some pops dot underneath the purple flowers and added pink ribbon and colored in the stamp sentiment. The entire purple flowers on the white background was one stamp, which I stamped multiple times to create patterend paper.

#109 Broom Rides Card

When I first got the Pumpkin Carving cart I knew I had to make something with this stamp they go perfectly together! The white marquee frame is from Gypsy Wanderings then I stamped the sentiment and added green and purple stickles to it. The witch is from Pumpkin Carving (Great Cart!!) all though there are NO circle backgrounds or shadows, etc I got the green circle from Plantin Schoolbook and did a little inking.

#108 Boo! frame card

For this Halloween card I cut the black frame from Hannah Montana with some green glittered Halloween paper. Boo! is from Mini Monster's , I also did a little bit of inking around the edges.

#107 Thank you Owl in window card Fantabulous Cricut

I made this card for the the great outdoors challenge at Fantabulous Cricut. The owl  and the frame are both from Cindy Loo, lately I feel like I've been naming a lot of carts I haven't used yet because I totally scored on my birthday Yay!!  So I wanted it to look like the owl was looking out of a window so I did some doodling on the frame with faux stitching and added pop dots underneath the frame. I stamped the sentiment and added 3 teal colored bling.

#106 Hip hip hooray card for (Card creations & more by Christina) challenge

There's a new challenge blog out there called Card Creations and More by Christina she wants everyone to participate by making a project with the one and only Create a Critter! I made a bright and bold card for a little boy since I make so many girly cards LOL! The card is 5.5 by 5.5 and the hippo, plant, water, circle and title are all from CAC. I used my Gypsy to delete the flower that is on the hippo's rear, since it's a boy card. When cutting the title I didn't realize that there was a flower on the "hooray" part, oh well hopefully the little boy who gets this won't notice since it's a mostly blue card. All of the paper is from the Summer DCVW stack that I got at Joann's recently. Good luck with your new blog Christina!!

#105 Love you a Latte Card for BBTB2

I really like the challenge for this weeks Bitten By the Bug 2 which was to use the mug from Joys of the Season. I knew right away that I wanted to do something coffee themed, at first I wanted to make a LO that said "Coffee Addict" and put a pic of my mom LOL! (Maybe I will!) but then I don't think I have a pic of her holding one. So I cut the cup is from JOTS and the sentiment from Just Because Cards and I embossed with my green bug (Cuttlebug) and did some inking over the swirls with purple Dew Drop ink. Simple but Pretty!!

#104 Lollipop card for Cricut Cardz

I made this card for the Cricut Cardz challenge which is to make a card with any theme and only using the colors yellow, orange, blue, black and white. At 1st I had no idea what to make then I decided to make orange flavored candy....maybe because I've been eating so much candy and it's not even Halloween yet LOL!  I cut the lollipops from Mini Monsters and the scroll from christmas Cheer, I haven't really used both of those carts yet so it was nice to think outside the box LOL! I chalked the outer edges of the scroll and stamped the perfect sentiment, I had it all planned out! Then I added swirls to the center of the lollipops and stickles to the blue bows and stickles to the "Sweet" part, and tied a ribbon bow and finally I did some faux stitching to the outer parts of the card.

#103 Zoo (Paper Playtime)

This week's challenge is to create anything Zoo themed for Paper Playtime, we were sponsored by the wonderful Digital Delights by Louby Loo; they are so kind to be offering this free digi by clicking here. For the image I colored the yellow and pink parts with marker, and everything else with chalk, I added gold stickles to the lions mane and tail. I cut the party hat from the Pooh and friends cart and tied a little blue bowtie for the lion.  I added blue stickles to the party hat and my Fiskars punch for the red border and also added a small blue strip of ribbon on the top. I stamped the sentiment, then embossed with green metallic powder for a final touch I added a pop dot to the back of the hat.

#102 Back to School Card (My Sheri Crafts)

Since I've already made a card for this week's challenge at Paper Playtime I've decided to make another one for My Sheri Crafts back to school challenge. For this back to school card I cut the scallop square from AE, then stamped the entire alphabet  background, the apple and books are from Hello Kitty Greetings (I didn't know that was on there LOL!), the boy is from ACY and the pencil is from Everyday Paper Dolls. For the pencil I cut it on a light tan paper, then colored the eraser, metal part, pencil and pencil tip with markers. The sentiment is also a stamp, which is a stamp from a Hero Arts set that I got at JoAnn's for .98!! Gotta love them deals!

#101 School Days Challenge (Paper Playtime)

For this week's theme it is "School Days" at Paper Playtime , we were sponsered by The stamping Boutique. I made this adorable card for my friends adorable son who just started Kindergarten this week, my husband thought of the title LOL! The boy is from Everday Paper Dolls, the backpack is from the new seasonal Summer Vacation cart and the font is from Sesame Street Font. I really love this digi of the school it reminds me of the little  school house at Knott's Berry Farm! (That's an amusement park in Orange County So. California) I added 2 pieces of pattererned paper from the new DCWV 180 Autumn stack, added some ribbon and a pop dot to the backpack.

BBTB2 is having a fall contest right now and you have a chane to win prizes from Shelly's Images. I cut the apple tree from SYI and I stamped the entire background with a script stamp on Kraft paper then I embossed it with gold embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment and put gold stickles on some of the letters and flourishes, for a final touch I did some faux stiching.  BBTB2
