Hi everyone it's Sandra here again from 365 Days of Cricut on Day 3 of my Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer week. For my 3rd project I decided to make an Easter basket for my son Aidan (age 3), a treat bag filled with jelly beans which I will be making more to hand out to the adults, and some very personalized eggs for Easter Egg Hunting.
Here's Aidan Easter basket he's all ready to go Easter egg hunting except he has his holiday's confused he kept saying "Happy Halloween!" LOL! When I showed him his basket.
First I added some blue/green polka dot paper I adhered with my ATG gun. FYI first I tried using a thicker cardstock/patterened paper and it did not work well, and also I tried a liquid glue and that didn't work well either. I found out that thin paper and an ATG adhesive worked best for this project. Next step cut the bunny head's from EASTER 2010 seasonal cart and stamp the faces with the new release stamps PK -441 Cute and Cuddly and I stamped the little green flowers with PK 530 Simple Simons Face Assortment.
Here's a little side view and here you can see where I added an orange border strip with my scallop punch. For the basket I used 6 bunny heads and 6 green flowers.
Here's a picture of some of the eggs. My son's favorite eggs where the Monster eggs and the bubbly tongue face from Happy New Year! Here's a list of the stamps I used for the eggs PK 690 Make A Monster Face Assortment, PK 471 Happy New Year 1 1/8, PK 756 Critter Faces Set Extra Large, PK 757 Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed Assortment. I stamped the faces with StazOn ink and colored some of them with Bic markers. It was also challenging to stamp the faces on the eggs but very worth it! Some of them did smudge the trick is to roll the stamp from left to right and do it very slowly! The easiest one's to stamp where the bird one's and monster ones.
For the Silly Rabbit treat bag I used a jewelery bag from Michael's it's about 3x4 and used my Martha Stewart punch and added my extra bunny I originally cut for the basket, I love how it all worked out eventhough I wasn't planning on making a treat bag LOL! I also stamped this guy's face with PK 441 Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8. P.S. it was so hard not to eat some of these yummy Starburst jelly beans, I am warning you stay away they are so addicting!
Here's what I orginally started out with a plain Easter basket AKA Easter "bucket" from Walmart and it was only $1!
Thanks for stopping by I will see you tomorrow!
Sandra
