***This is my 2nd post today, please scroll down for my Digital Delights by Louby Loo project***
Hi everyone!! Welcome to the Red, White and Blue Blog Hop hosted by Nicolette from Beyond Scrapin if you are here from Tammy's blog then you are in the right spot. Here's a hop all about the 4th of July's most famous colors...red, white and blue! I was pretty excited to be in this hop because I never really make anything for 4th of July usually I'm just spending the day being lazy in the sun LOL!
Here's a really simple card I made not using my Cricut at all!! For the rosette flower I used my Tim Holtz die in my Cuttlebug, and embossed the dots with my Cuttlebug also. I added a button on the rosette and some twine. This is also my #5th Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peek since I am Guest Designer for them this month, the stamp is called Yankee Doodle Dandy. I also just made a 4th of July scrapbook layout 2 days ago, feel free to come check it out on post #157.
Blog Candy!! One lucky follower will win this red/white and blue/white twine perfect for your 4th of July projects!! just leave me a comment telling me what you like to do to celebrate 4th of July! I need some more ideas LOL! I will select a winner late tomorrow night 6/24.
NEXT STOP is BRYNN
I just love your bright 4th of July card! I really like the rosette flower! I've tried to make them but they all ways tend to come out short.

Love the card! Great take on the red, white and blue! I would love to win that twine! For the 4th, we honestly don't do a lot, but I love to just listen to the fireworks and try to see as many as I can from our house. It's kind of like a contest to see how many locations we can find where they are coming from. :0) Thanks for the chance to win!

I love the card, the simplicy of it is what makes itso charming.
ReplyDeleteI shoudnt say simple because I cant even make a rosette, with out it falling apart. My favorite part of the 4th is going the town beach and watching the fireworks. Our town does a really nice job with the display.
What a sweet simple card Sandra! Love the twine! I don't usually decorate for the 4th either but all of the inspiration i have been picking up lately makes me want to :) For the 4th, we usually have a BBQ at my sister's house, then go to the park to watch the fireworks. There are a million people there and you have to find a spot to lay your blanket but it is so much fun. The kids ditch us immediately of course and we meet up afterward. Personally, i kind of like your idea of being lazy in the sun too :)

Love your card! The blue looks great for the flower. White ink sentiment looks really nice on the embossed red. tfs http://kimmarieskorner.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteVERY pretty flower!!!! Me and my hubby spend the 4th with our best friends. We cook out, watch all the kiddos swim and play slip and slide. We eat Watermelon and I am usually dying for it to get dark so we can shoot all the fireworks off and I mean big ones and we let the kids do the little things. I feel like a kid every year when I can see all the pretty colors and spend it with our friends and their family. :)
ReplyDeleteCute card! Love it! TFS! Hugs, Angela

The 4th is my families favorite holiday. We will have 40+ people over for swimming, volleyball, eating (best part!) then all pitch in to buy one of the best displays in the county. This year my daughter will be there for the first time in 3 years! YAY! Thanks for a chance to share.
