#239 Crafty Sprouts DT day and 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Today is a very special day because it's Crafty Sprouts DT Day and also the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. For my 1st day of Christmas project I made a sexy little vixen card to give to my hubby ;)

For Crafty Sprouts challenge this week the theme is "tag It". I cut the tag from Plantin Schoolbook and embossed the sentiment using embossing powder. The sentiment says "Is it too late to be good" using Crafty Sprouts Have a cool yule stamp set. I colored this digi stamp called "Cheeky Kitty" from The Greeting farm Stamps using Prismacolor pencils. I also cut the scallop shape from A Child's Year Cricut cart and embossed it with a Basic Grey snowflake folder using my Cuttlebug. Click HERE to enter in Crafty Sprouts "Tag It" challenge!

#190 Girly Ghost Card

For today's project I made a quick and simple Halloween card using A Child's Year and Mini Monsters. I stamped a Peachy Keen face on this cute girly ghost and added chalk around her eyes to make her look a little more spooky. I stamped this adorable sentiment with Crafty Sprouts MONSTER KISSES stamps and added twine from the Twinery and used my white gel pen from Sakura gel pens.  This is our last challenge for Scrapbookaholic By Abby, the challenge is Anything Goes and we have some amazing sponsors and prizes from The Twinery and Sakura Gel Pens so be sure to come and enter our last challenge HERE!!!!

#188 Princess Penelope Guest Designer scrapbook page!

Hi everyone!! I am super excited because I was asked by  THE SCRAPBOOKING QUEEN herself to be a Guest Designer on her new blog which is PRINCESS PENELOPE! Princess Penelope will have a Guest Designer making a dog themed project every Friday.

 For my project I decided to make a scrapbook layout about my son and one of our dogs named Littlefoot aka Boots! My son loves playing with Boots a lot and stealing his ball away from him it's pretty funny watching them play together, but sometimes I gotta stop my son from being too rough with my furbaby!

For my layout I decided to break out an older cart which is A Child's Year for the boy and dog silhouette, the title  I Love My Dog is from the Car Decals cart. All of the papers and little tag embellishments are from SEI At the park paper pack that I got on clearance at Michaels for $5 score!!

I didn't get a chance to get my pic printed at Walgreen's so here it is....Aidan and Boots best friends forever!!! I am so in LOVE with this picture it looks like my dog is striking a major pose and they both have big huge smiles!! I have so much love for my babies.....my son and my 2 furbabies. I hope my other dog won't be mad at me because I didn't feature him on today's layout... I still love you Blackie Bear LOL!!!

Here's a lil' closeup for you, the thick brown ribbon is actually clearance Christmas ribbon from last year! I love a good deal haha!

Inside the title I stamped the sentiment with a Scrappy Moms new release stamp it says 'You had me at Woof' isn't that cute! LOL! When Boots barks it sounds like he says "Woof" or "Bow wow"!! And when my other dog barks it sounds like "Arf Arf" LOL!! Ok I'm nuts, I love my dogs so much they always cheer me up when I'm sad, and they are little "BIG" guard dogs they are both under 15 pounds but they have big attitudes!!

For my card I cut the female Cricut bug head with the Car Decals cart and the graduation cap is from A Child's Year. I did a little faux stitching and stamped the sentiment with Pink By Design stamps. I embossed the Kraft paper with a flourish type frame embossing folder and inked it up with my Black Shoot Distress ink.

#62 Wedding Card and Hop Winner's

Good evening! Here's a Wedding card I made for a custom order. I really wanted it to look classy and elegant. I embossed the background paper with my Cuttlebug. The scallop shape is from ACY, the Oval from Opposite's Attract and the floral border is from the Elegant Cakes cartridge. I stamped the wedding cake image with Versamark ink and poured black embossing powder over it with my MS heat gun. I stamped the sentiment before I placed it in my CB, the butterflies are also from an MS punch and I added some silver pearls.

I created the base of the card from A Child's Year, the rectangle shapes are from Sweet Treats, and the pony is from the Walmart Cricut LITE- Four Legged Friends, this is actually my first time using this cart =) I stamped the eyes with PKS Princess Faces. I have a Martha Stewart alphabet punch that I got from Michael's and that's where I got the sentiment from. The letters I teeny tiny, so I adhered those with a glue pen since they got lost in my Xyron sticker machine.

I made this card for the Paper Playtime design Team 1, our challenge is to make something with the word "Love" on it. I decided to make a card that says "Showered With Love" on it by Pink By Design. I orginally cut a bunch of hearts out and scattered them all over the card since it's raining Love lol! But for some reason it didn't look right to me, so I went with 2 hearts...one on the bottom with the sent. and one on the eumbrella. Th umbrella is from A Child's Year and the hearts are from Accent Essential. I inked around the edges with black chalk ink and added some red stickles to the umbrella heart. I am also entering my card into Emma's Throwback Thursday which is to use an older cart with a heart...I used ACY and AE.

A Banner For a Child's Room (for My niece Natalie)

For My Gift Idea I decided to actually make a Gift for my sweet adorable niece Natalie. She just had her 1st birthday party last weekend and I was going to make this to give to her for her b-day but I never got around to it. Luckily it hit me...I said hey I can give it to her for christmas LOL! So I wanted to it be bright and cheery since that's how her momma has decorated her room I think mom, dad and baby Natalie or should I say toddler are all going to love it. It's pretty long it's about 8 feet long!! I cut the scallop ovals from A Child's Year, the font is from All Mixed Up and the sweet dancing bears are from Twinkle Toes. The scallops were cut about 9 inches and they bears and font were cut at 6.71 (Gyspy size) the pretty purple glitter ribbon is actually Christmas ribbon From Michael's that is on sale now for 50% off I think this banner maybe cost $1 total to make if I divide it amost multiple projects. This was so easy to make I love making banner it took me about 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours at the most! I plan on making more for my other nieces and nephews and my son too! oh I almost forgot! I cut the circles at around 1 inch from Plantin Schoolbook to put the ribbon through the holes.

#179 Santa's Elf Layout

Good evening everyone! I feel like I haven't done a layout in forever. Here's a layout I did of my son when he was exactly 2 months old back in '07 I can't believe it was that long ago! I feel like I went all out on this page it took me hours but worth it I love the way it came out. I was inspired by his little outfit that says "Santa's Little Elf" I stamped the sentiment and added stickles to it, I stamped the vintage Santa on the upper right, I stamped the flourishes and also the "Christmas Memories" sentiment, I also stamped the face with a PK stamp on the doll from Paper Doll Dress Up. The present border was from Winter Frolic I also added stickles to them, I did some hand stitching under the presents and also used my punches for the 2 borders. The snowflake border on the bottom is from patterned paper. The scallop oval that I embossed and inked with my cuttlebug is from ACY, the circle scallop where my son's pic is is from AE. I also did some inking with my Fired Brick distress ink around the page.

#162 I'm in Charge Around Here Layout

Here's a layout I made of my little one when he was just a little one LOL! He just turned 3 a few weeks ago and I am still not done with his baby book slowly but surely! All of the cuts were from A child's Year and then I stamped all of the faces with Peachy Keen Retro Faces don't they just look too funny LOL! For the title inside the star I punch out the teeny tiny letters with a MS punch. I also used 2 different border punches on the left side. I also used my Walnut Stain Distress ink on the outer parts of the page and my Broken china Distress ink on the hat and boot. Here's 2 challenges I am entering:

#153 Bwa-hahahahahhahaha! Pumpkin faces card-Winner!!!!!

Hello blog world I've missed you all!! I am so sorry I wasn't able to post who the winner was of the Halloween/Fall Blog hop I had a very long day yesterday, in fact I think it was my longest day of the year, hopefully I can rest today and get some scrapbooking done! On to my project I did this pumpkin face card for 2 challenges one My Scrappin Obsession was to use nothing but scraps, and the other Abby Gaby Challengeswas to make something with the colors orange, black and purple. Everything on my card was a scrap except for the actual card base. I cut the pumpkin from A Child's Year  and I hid the lines with my Gypsy, and I put the pumpkin in my Xyron upside down and put the Halloween MS Glitter on it, and stamped with a Peachy Keen Monster stamp. For the small pumpkins I cut them from my scrap papers and put orange colored stickles on them. I embossed the purple with my Cuttlebug but I really don't like the way it came out oh well LOL! I stamped the Bwa-hahahahhaha stamp with a wooden Martha Stewart Halloween stamp I got from Michaels, I can't stop saying that out loud Bwa-hahhahaha so funny! I just love that set of stamps! Oh and I love Martha Stewart LOL! I am also sending this card to a little girl who has cancer, the Make a Wish foundation contacted her and all she wants is cards. Doesn't that just make you want to cry? I really hope this little girl can get better with a big heart like that! Here is her address:

#147 My 1st Mother's Day

I am so happy with the way this page came out, it is something totally different than what I was orginally going to do. This is a pic of me and my son when he was 7 months old also My 1st Mother's Day! The 3 yellow cuts are from A Child's Year, the flower border with the brads are from Gypsy Wanderings, the banner and "Mother's Day" are from Country Life. For those of you who haven't read my previous posts...I highly reccommend getting the Country Life cart, it is so freaking cute there are so many feature's on it so keep an eye out because I will be using that cart a lot! There are so many different banners and banenr flags on there. I poked holes in the banner and hand stitched with white embroidery floss and added some black stickers and 2 blue brads at the ends. The journaling tag is a piece of patterened paper from Bo Bunny and I just cut the scvallop out since it was perfect it says 'the 5 ways you make me smile'. I made this layout for the following challenges:

#143 Bountiful fall Card

I created this card for a few challenges I will list them below this post. First off I would like to say that I highly recommend all of you Cricut Cartridge addicts (LOL! Like me) to buy the new Country Life cart it is so cute and amazing....there is so many cute cuts and sayings on there I was very amazed and impressed when I was looking through the handbook I just got it 2 days ago. The title is from Country Life, the wagon is from a Child's Year, the pumpkins are from Gypsy Wanderings. I embossed the wagon with my cuttlebug and added stickles to the pumpkins and the silk flower. Here's a tip ladies....if you want some very affordable flowers just go to the dollar store and buy a silk flower bouqet and remove all plastic parts and there you have it, a beautiful flower perfect for cards and scapbook layouts!! Very cost effective, the only down side is you might have to iron your flower. I ironed this flower it didn't take very long, I hate ironing I don't remember last last time that I ironed I couldn't even remember how to turn it on LOL no joke!! Well at least I have a new purpose for it and I need to find a home for it in my scrapbook room and also find a very small ironing board! I hope that helps you!  Now for the challenges: 

Always Crafting  for this challenge my friend Stephanie has a new challenge every WED. this week it is to make something that inspires you. So this card totally inspired me when I went to my parents house the other night for my dad's b-day dinner, while I was eating I noticed my mom pulled out her fall decor and right in front of me I saw a wagon with pumpkins in it!! Yep I told my mom right there and then that I was going to make a card out of it....she was amazed, she said "Really, how? How can you make a card from something like that?!?" I  was laughing and smiling and I said "Just watch!" Wow I feel like that was a challenge/compliment LOL! I will give her that card for Halloween or Thanksgiving she will be shocked that I did it!

Fantabulous Cricut challenge is to make something with the fall gardening theme. When I got my country Life cart I saw this title and automatically thought of Fall veggies like pumpkin, squash, etc.

Jitterbuggin challenge this week is to follow the sketch, use plaid, and have something Fall on it. I tried to follow the sketch as much as possible, I just had to flip my card horizontal so my long title could fit.

#136 Baby Crawls A lot Layout

This pic is when my son first started crawing, I caught him crawling all over his crib one day. The title and the ticket booth are from the new Cricut Lite Carousel cartridge I welded the crawling baby with my Gypsy. The baby is from A Child's Year. I stamped the rest of the title and did my journaling on one of the tickets on the top right corner. The paper I used is from K&Company Too 360 stack, I wanted it to look movie/carnival themed. I also did some inking with distress ink and added a metal tag with some brads.

#116 Cupcake card and envelope Plus Great news I won Top 3, plus some blog awards!!

In honor of me winning some cupcake awards I made this cupcake card, liner and envelope from Wild Card, the scallop square and cupcake are from ACY.  To mae the cupcake glittery I put it in my Xyron sticker machine then put pink Martha Stewart glitter on top it sticks perfectly, no glitter crumbs LOL, then I put a red button on top of the cupcake, I stamped the sentiment then embossed with clear embossing powder. So the great new is that my Purse Birthday Card won top 3 for Party Time Tuesday's, also I've gotten a few awards over the last month but haven't posted them since I sometimes have trouble designing this blog, I hope I didn't offened anyone by not posting it right way.  Thanks to my husband he finally showed me how to post stuff on my sidebar LOL!

#115 Vampire Territory LO (40:31 Creations Challenge)

I made this  LO for Lauren's Halloween challenge at 40:31 Creations, this is my first time submitting a challenge at her blog....hopefully I win the awesome candy LOL!  So the first thing I did was look through my paper pile and I found this patterened paper with a haunted house and a moon design. I made this LO look like the Vampire's live there and that's why I called it "Vampire Territory".....I've been watching too much True Blood and Twighlight LOL! The word Vampire is from Mini Monster's, Territory is from Lyrical Letters, the daddy vamp and baby vamp are from Paper doll Dress up, the bats and the drippy goo are from the new October 31st cartridge. I know everyone's going to being asking how did I do that so here it goes.... The drippy goo is actually a cut that says "Velcome" it is a diamond shaped sign with drippy goo on top and botttom of it, so I used my Gypsy to weld 2 together and I scooted them both all the way up on my mat screen so it only left about 2 1/2 inches showing, but the originial size says 6 inches. The small blood droplets are from A child's year, they are rain drops and I hid the slit with my Gypsy. I hope I didn't confuse you too much, if I get enough request I will post a photo tutorial and the drippy goo.
Continuing... the "eek" sign and the "I want candy...Blood" are from the DCVW stack and I just cut out the little squares. Notice the bick of my son licking his lips that's why I crossed out the "candy" part and wrote "blood". I just couldn't stop laughing while making this layout I was evening talking in Vampire language to son while making it. I hope you like it, my husband loved it so much because I made it scary just for him and my son Aidan. This was Halloween 2008 and my son just learned how to walk a few days before Halloween perfect for Trick or Treating!

#102 Back to School Card (My Sheri Crafts)

Since I've already made a card for this week's challenge at Paper Playtime I've decided to make another one for My Sheri Crafts back to school challenge. For this back to school card I cut the scallop square from AE, then stamped the entire alphabet  background, the apple and books are from Hello Kitty Greetings (I didn't know that was on there LOL!), the boy is from ACY and the pencil is from Everyday Paper Dolls. For the pencil I cut it on a light tan paper, then colored the eraser, metal part, pencil and pencil tip with markers.
