#48 Liz's Paper Loft Guest Designer

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a guest designer for one of my favorite blogs.....  Liz's Paper Loft! I hope you are having a fast recovery Liz, and hopefully we can both get back to crafting soon! I am still taking a crafting break from having my baby just 11 days ago! Luckily I made this layout way in advance just for today's post.

This is a layout I made for my 2010 scrapbook album, this day we celebrated my mom's birthday at a local paleontology museum. The picture of us had a really ugly  background, so I edited the picture to black & white to make it look pretty! I used some old paper from a Summer DCWV paper stack and added some Prima flowers, bling, micro beads, glitter and butterflies. I also did some painting and stitching with my Sew Easy.

I used my lovely Silhouette Cameo to create the marquee shapes, butterflies, title, and the (brown) rolled paper roses.

Here's a list by name of the Silhouette files I used from the Silhouette store:
filigree butterfly set
rolled rose
party set (used for title)
7-page layout kit (used for marquee shapes)

I hope you all will come check out my blog which is 365 Days of Cricut where I post Cricut and Silhouette Cameo projects.

Be sure to leave a comment on all of the guest designer's posts on http://www.lizspaperloft.com/ to qualify for the blog candy!!

#39 St. Patrick's Day Layout

Hi everyone sorry I've been a little M.I.A. lately I am getting near the end of my pregnancy I just entered my 9th month of pregnancy today and I haven't been crafting nearly as much as I want to, and I've been really sick with the flu these past couple of days.

For my layout I actually made this almost a month ago but haven't had a chance to get it posted on my blog, I made a pre-made scrapbook page for St. Patty's Day this year! All the files I used here are from My Scrap Chick, I added tons of Stickles, Glimmer Mist and I also did some stitching with my Sew Easy. I also added some gold glitter ribbon along with gold brads. I also used Peachy Keen Stamps here for the bear's face, and also the sentiment on the lower left corner.

I am entering my layout in a few challenges below:

#158 Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek 4, Watermelon Layout and Hop Winner!!

Hi everyone I hope you all are having  a great day! I was so excited when I saw that Cooking with the Cricut was having a watermelon challenge, so I decided to make a pre-made sb page for pictures of my son eating watermelon last summer. I am so bad at getting my pictures printed out right away and I usually don't make a lot of pre-made pages, I guess I forget that you can do that LOL!

For the background paper I used Kraft cardstock along with.......Christmas Paper!!! Yep! I can't believe I  was able to pull it off! I was scared to use Christmas patterned paper  at first, but then I thought it would be genius since a watermelon is naturally green/red and white. This Christmas paper is from the American Crafts Christmas stack that I got at Tuesday morning for less then $5. The watermelon cuts are from Simply Charmed and these ants invading the page are from Kate's ABC's. The title Mmmm is from Graphically Speaking, along with American Crafts  alphabet stickers. I stamped the "Juicy" watermelon with Scrappy Moms Stamps GOOD EATS which is my 4th Sneak Peak as a Guest Designer.  which is my  faces on the melons with PKS Boy Mates, and stamped the ants eyes with PKS Everyday Paper Dolls. For a final touch I added white rick-rack and did some REAL stitching with my Sew Easy!!

I have to thank Marianne from Facebook her blog is Paper or Fabric Crafter she was so sweet and sent me a RAK which was embroidery floss for my new Sew Easy, I used a dark green color here for the stitching. Thank you so much Marianne!! That was so super nice of you, I felt like it was Christmas!! Make sure to check out her amazing talent HERE

Now onto the Cupcake Birthday Blog Hop Winner..... Becky Dunham!! Congrats Becky! Please email me at critterbugg365@gmail.com

#159 Sweet Little Angel

Hello everyone!! Here's a little something new that I experimented with that I LOVE can you guess what it is?? Yep it's Vintage clip Art, I love vintage stuff, lace, glitter and the antique silver and gold look. I cut the word "Sweet" from Country Life, The title "Little Angel" with the halo are from Rock Princess. I did my journaling underneath the vellum and distressed a little bit with my Walnut Stain distress ink. The glitter is from Martha Stewart, the heart is from Rock Princess also. The white/gold ribbon is Joann's Christmas ribbon!! I stamped the sentiment on Kraft paper and also printed the angels on Kraft paper, and cut the top and bottom edges with decorative scissors. I did some stitching on the top left and added buttons and brads. I found the free Vintage Clip Art Images at Vintage Holiday Crafts.

I wanted to give a BIG thank you to Moe Creations for posting a link to a blog that shows all of the current challenges Pile it On Challenges and also to my sister Joanna for telling me and introducing me to the FREE Vintage Clip Art world!! Thank You Both!! Here's the challenges that I am entering for this project:

#156 Orange You Cute!

********This is my 3rd post today please scroll down for more =)*******

It's that time again for me to be featured as a Queen at Paper Playtime! This week's theme is to use the color ORANGE as the main color. I had this one all planned out from the day I saw what the theme was, I already knew I wanted to make something with the "Orange you Cute Title" Don't you just love it! So I used my Cricut Markers to draw out the title with my Nursery Ryhmes cartridges...sadly that's my 1st time using that cart and I've had it for months =(   Then I put orange stickles inside the letters to make the letters look kinda like stickers. I cut the little boy from B is for Boy cart and stamped with my Peachy Keen Stamps. I cut the large green tag from Nursery Rhymes also and I embossed with my new Polka Dot embossing folder with my cuttlebug.  The Orange juice cup is from Just Because Cards and I put Glossy Accents on the "juice" part, the actual orange fruit is from My World cart and I also put stickles on the leaf part. I did some random stamping with a flower stamp and used my Spiced Marmalade (Orange colored) Distress ink around the edges and for the flowers. I stitched my orange buttons with blue embroidery floss and stapled down my journaling strips. I hope you like the outcome and all of the details LOL! Please join in on the fun at Paper Playtime and become a follower this week we are sponsored by Cravin Scrappin and are doing a GIVE AWAY which is a CRICUT CARTRIDGE!!

#149 Horse b-day card

I made this card for my son's 3rd b-day which was yesterday Oct. 2nd, aka National Card Making day!! I never knew that LOL! He's really into horses right now everything from horse toys, horses on tv, and also seeing the horses in my neighborhood. The horse, fence and bird are all one button feature cut on the country life Cart. I stamped the sentiment on a tag from Fabulous Finds and pierced holes and did some stitching with embroidery floss.  I think I am going to start stitching more on my projects this was only my second time doing it I really feel like I accomplished something once I was done with this card! Oh yeah I forgot...I tied a knot with the twine and put it through the holes on the tag.
