#136 Operation Superman Charity Blog Hop

Hi everyone welcome to the "Operation Superman Charity Blog Hop" hosted by ME Sandra I am hosting this hop to gather gifts to donate for a family who lost their father and also to someone who lost her husband. We are all making gifts and or Christmas cards to donate to the family, this is their first Christmas they are spending together without their dad whom everyone called "Superman". Seko "Superman" died tragically of heart failure in front of his wife and 4 young kids. We are hoping to spread some holiday cheer to this family in need.

For my first project I made Superman themed ornaments so the kids can hang on their tree. I got the Superman kids cutting pattern from the KaDoodle Bug Designs "SUPER KIDS" pattern and the Superman logo is from the Silhouette store. I cut them out using my Cameo and also added chipboard to the backs to make them sturdy and added twine to hang them on the tree.

For my 2nd project I made them a family gift to place a photo of them with their dad on his last Christmas which was last year. I made this from a canvas which is 8x10 and I altered it by using all paper products and my ATG gun to adhere. I cut the snowflake and the snowflakes border from the ART PHILOSOPHY Cricut Cartridge  and the large rosette flower along with the circle are from the  Artiste Cricut Cartridge, the "December 25th" stamp is a Cricut companion stamp to Artiste Cricut Cartridge which is called Perfect Fit- Holidays (below).

#135 Rudolph Stocking Stuffer made w/ Artiste

Hi everyone!! I made this cute Rudolph the Reindeer stocking stuffer using 100% Artiste Cricut Cartridge. The "noses" are red gummy candies I got from the Dollar Tree and the poem was a free PRINTABLE that I changed the wording and re-typed it to have a Christmas font.

The cuts I used from Artiste for the reindeer are..... card p. 42, card p. 48 (circle shape), owl p.76, Snowflake p.79. I also stamped the border on the poem using the CTMH Snowflakes stamp set with red CTMH Cranberry ink and added glossy accents to the nose. I snipped the snowflake to make the antlers this was a very easy project  to make!

#94 Artiste Angry Birds Boxes

Hi everyone! I was pretty busy this weekend making my son's Angry Birds Party Boxes. I made everything using my Artiste Cricut Cartridge including the Angry Birds Face! I used 4 circles, lower case "v" and also a diamond shape to create the beak. I outlined everything using a thick chisel point marker to give it an "Angry" look. I cut everything out on red poster board from the Dollar Tree Store I used a 12x24 Cricut Mat to cut everything out fast. Each poster board was 22x28 inches so I was able to get 4 Angry Birds Treat Boxes from just ONE poster board! I also have some leftover poster board that I will be making my party invites out of.

#76 Rainbow Party Blog Hop Chevron Set

Hi everyone welcome to the Rainbow Party Blog Hop hosted by Candace if you are here from Melissa's Blog then you are in the right spot. This is going to be a fun rainbow party because we are celebrating Candace's daughters birthdays.... happy birthday girls!

For my project I made a rainbow chevron matching gift set. I used my CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge for the treat box and for the banner cut and stamped it using my cricut companion stamp that came with the Artiste cartridge. I stamped the chevrons several times with different inks to make it into a rainbow. I also added some pink twine on the sides of the candy box, I closed the candy box shut using repositional adhesive so it's ready to go when I need a birthday set. I went to so many birthday parties last month that I don't have any more birthday cards on hand can you believe that and here I had so many in my stash lol! I used the chevron stamp from the NEW release It's Your Day stamp set from the CTMH Campaign we have going on right now you can get this stamp set for only $5 when you spend $35 in my Close To My Heart store. This set is awesome because it comes with 2- 6x6 stamp sets that are also Cricut Companion Stamps to the Artiste cartridge.... meaning this stamps will fit along perfectly with the images that are on the Artise cart.

There is so much blog candy to be won on this hop, all you have to do is leave a comment on all the blogs and stop by each Facebook page of each of our sponsors and let them know we sent you! Here's a list of prizes:

Project 1: Halloween Layout
For those of you who read my blog and Facebook know that I have been working very hard to finish my 2010 scrapbook album before my baby arrives here in about 2 weeks! So I decided it would be a great excuse to buy some very cool Halloween files from the Silhouette store to make my layout. The title and the pumpkin/spiderweb border were all from my Cameo. They are very very intricate and super skinny but they cut out so perfect! I also added some Lavendar Stickles to the font, "Raven" colored Glimmer Mist, and some chunky fabric brads, the stamp sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. The grey crinkle ribbon here was hand dyed by myself!

Project 2: I Love You Anniversary Shaped Card
I made this card pretty large about 5x7 for my hubby for our Anniversary which was on 2.28 well, I haven't given it to him yet since he's been on deployment the last 4 months, luckily I will see him next Friday and I can't wait! I hope he likes his "guy" card! I also embossed everything with my Cuttlebug.

Project 3: Altered Composition Notebook
I made this altered composition notebook for my best friend Melyssa's birthday, she loves yellow, pink and owls! It looks really complicated but it was super EASY!! This gift took me about 30 minutes or less! I also added a rosette, black tulle and buttons. I embossed the letters with my Cuttlebug.

BLOG CANDY!!!!!!! I am giving away 3 yards of the gray crinkle ribbon hand dyed by yours truly! (This is the same color ribbon I used in my Halloween layout above) All you have to do is be a follower and leave me a comment telling me which one is your favorite project here! I will announce a winner on Monday 3/26! Good luck!

Here's a list by name of all the Silhouette files I used in my projects:
-Owl Cutout
-matchbox notebook note overlay
-i love you card
-halloween border
-happy halloween phrase
