#2 Dog Layout

Hi everyone today is the first challenge of the New Year over at Paper Playtime. Since I am on Team 1, we were asked to create a project using faces. My main face of course was my dog named Boots...AKA Littlefoot! Yep he has to names. We originally named him Littlefoot and then for some reason my hubby started calling him Boots and it just stuck!

All of the paper I used for my layout is from the DCVW Pet Stack I love that stack, I am still looking for cute dog paper so if you see any out there tell me where to buy it! The font and tag are both from All Mixed Up. I stamped the dog face on the stamp and hand wrote the sentiment. I found the sentiment from my Quotes book so I can't say that was an original LOL! I also stamped the red paper with a stamp that says "Woof" and I stamped it several times to make my own patterned paper. I put some bone brads on the corner of the pic. I also stamped the green paper that has the paw print and cut it out, it looks like a dogs seal of approval LOL! All of the little words on top are all cut out from the Pets Stack patterend paper. Please make sure you enter in the Paper Playtime "Faces" challenge. We are sponored by Peachy Keen Stamps!!

Please check back later this afternoon to see if you are the winner of the 2 blog hops I was in. If you would like to continue the hops please scroll down.

A Banner For a Child's Room (for My niece Natalie)

For My Gift Idea I decided to actually make a Gift for my sweet adorable niece Natalie. She just had her 1st birthday party last weekend and I was going to make this to give to her for her b-day but I never got around to it. Luckily it hit me...I said hey I can give it to her for christmas LOL! So I wanted to it be bright and cheery since that's how her momma has decorated her room I think mom, dad and baby Natalie or should I say toddler are all going to love it. It's pretty long it's about 8 feet long!! I cut the scallop ovals from A Child's Year, the font is from All Mixed Up and the sweet dancing bears are from Twinkle Toes. The scallops were cut about 9 inches and they bears and font were cut at 6.71 (Gyspy size) the pretty purple glitter ribbon is actually Christmas ribbon From Michael's that is on sale now for 50% off I think this banner maybe cost $1 total to make if I divide it amost multiple projects. This was so easy to make I love making banner it took me about 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours at the most! I plan on making more for my other nieces and nephews and my son too! oh I almost forgot! I cut the circles at around 1 inch from Plantin Schoolbook to put the ribbon through the holes.

Now for My Blog candy to win these Fiskars Stamps all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you are asking Santa to bring you for Christmas! I am asking for Glimmer Mist, and Cricut Cartridges galore LOL! Also, you can be a Follower if my work inspires you, but it's not required. I appreciate all of my new and old blog lovers LOL!

Next on the list is Jess http://myscrapdiary-jess.blogspot.com/ click on the badge to take you there.

Don't forget to return tomorrow 12/11 at 9:00am Eastern Time for a new project and NEW BLOG CANDY

#131 1st Train Ride

Here's a close up of my son's funny faces and the train from CAC!

I had a blast making this layout, I've been wanting to do a train themed layout for my son's baby album for so long after 4 hours I finally got it done...lots of interruptions from my 2 year old LOL! I was able to submit this layout to a lot of different challenges out there right now I post them at the end of this. I cut the large cloud on patterend paper, the little clouds, the stars I inked then layered and attached a pop dot, the train and all animals notice the peanut driving the train LOL, added bling with my i-rock to the wheels and pop dots underneath the animals and stamped they're faces with Peachy Keen stamps, these are all from Create a Critter. The "1st" is from All Mixed Up I attached them with a skinny ribbon/yard type of fiber it's beige with teeny tiny balls all over it I don't know what it's called but it's cute! I purposely added blue and white striped paper under the train so it looks like it's on a track. The tag and flower where I did my journaling by the cloud is from Gypsy Wanderings I put a brad on the flower. I corner punched a blue paper and put it on the right photo, the black letter stickers a great on a tight spot, they are Making Memories.

#124 Welcome to the Nest Layout

Look at all my stamping I did!
The cutest little chick!

For this weeks challenge the DT was asked to use a digi from The Stamping Boutique I am so happy that they are sponsering some of our challenges. The theme at Paper Playtime this week is Old McDonald Had a farm EIEIO, you many interpret this in any way you DO NOT have to use a digi to enter...the winner this week will win 5 FREE digis of their choice including the one here in my LO!!! I stamped the entire upper part of my paper with different flower stamps, the owls on a branch and stamps that say "dream" "bloom" and "look who's here" I added ribbon underneath the large photo and it says "Thank Heaven for little boys", I also added stickers to the bottom right. The hatched egg is from Hoot n Holler and the bird's nest is from CAC. I added a prima flower with some yellow bling with my new i-rock tool that I just got, I got it from Oh my Crafts for $12 great deal and it came in about 1 week from ordering. The little chick inside the egg is the digi that the Stamping Boutique gave us I put pop dots under the eggs to make it look like the chick insn't in the egg because it just hatched LOL! "welcome" is from Sentimentals, this is a great cart and no one ever gives it much credit....I will probably post more project with it soon It has a lot of great titles and cards, and the rest of the title is from All Mixed Up.

#79 I'm Your's (Made by Momo Challenge)

Love those pop dots!
Close up of my Cuttlebugged blinged out butterfly!
Aidan insisted on modeling with my projects in my photo shoot ha ha , so I said sure why not, the theme is What "Love" means to me! I did this LO with some very old pics before I had my son....actually these pics were taken at the San Diego Fair 6 years ago. I cut the title from All Mixed UP then I put Martha Stewart Glitter all over. The butterflies are from Walk in My Garden I cut them at several different sizes then embossed some of them with my Cuttlebug and added stickles, bling and ribbon.  I used my funky monkey scissors for the large red background paper and for the green strip by the ribbon. I used my lacey border punch on the white paper. I made my own corner frame thing (can't remember the name) for the pic on the left side by cutting two skinny papers and adding some bling to the middle.  The last and final step was to do a little distressing with my Walnut Stain ink (my Fav!) Please check out Momo's page for some more awesome ideas! Momo's Challenge

#54 Cliff Divers LO

I used 3 different color inks and stickles to color the fish.

For this manly LO I cut fish from Pagoda, shaped background frame from SB, title and circle from AMU. The original color of the fish was the same orange paper for the scallop borders, I did a major face lift on the fish LOL!. I added ribbon across the middle with different greens buttons. The scallop borders were cut using my shaped scissors.

#49 Baby's 1st Boat Ride

For this LO I cut the blue frame from Wild Card, boat from GW, and font from AMU. I did some distressing all over the page and stamped a black swirl  by the boat to look like water. I then colored in the stamped image with a blue marker and used some blue stickles over the stamped image. I also did the same thing to the compass by the title. I got a piece of school paper for journaling. For the final touch I sprayed some glimmer mist all over the LO. When I did this I was thinking of a pirates map for inspiration LOL!
