#242 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop DAY 4 Mickey Christmas Frame

Hi everyone welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog HopDAY 4 hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gifts 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.

For today's Christmas gift I made a cute Mickey Mouse Christmas frame to give to my sister Patty, she loves Disney as much as I do! I plan on surprising her and giving this frame to her with a picture already printed out of her and her son at Disneyland during Christmas time!

I got this blank frame at Michael's for $1, and got Mickey from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge, the Santa hat is from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge. ( Can I just say that I am totally loving my E2, it cuts so much better than my original Expression, with my old Cricut I wouldn't even attempt to make a Disney cut this small because I knew it would tear my paper even after playing around with the settings and blade.)

I added pop dots under Mickey and added red rick-rack ribbon to the top and placed 2 white buttons on top, and made my own chipboard shape using a sticker and 3 layers of cereal box chipboard for the sentiment.

Here's a close up of the clean lines on Mickey using my new E2! I also found the perfect green paint to match the paper.

BLOG CANDY!! In honor of me creating 12 projects 12 days in a row, I will be celebrating by giving away ONE $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online stores......  PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment on all 12 of my 12 Days of Christmas post and be a follower. The last day will be on December 6th. I will announce a random winner on Wed. 12/7 good luck!

#146 Disney Freak Layout!

Hi everyone! Here's a Disney layout I made to describe myself lol!! I have been totally addicted to going to Disneyland and California Adventure, so I decided I'd start making some Disney layouts on my spare time. I made this page using the Mickey and Friends cart and also Lyrical Letter's for the font. I used my Gypsy to weld together the 3 borders on the bottom. I also added pop dots under the Mickey hat for dimension, and added some rick rack ribbon.

#104 Disney Easter Egg Blog Hop Day 2

Gif Created on Make A Gif
Hi everyone!!! Welcome Day 2 of the Disney Easter Egg Hop hosted by MONICA and I! This is a hop all about Disney and Easter, and some of us are posting on both days so be sure to check out everyone's amazing projects!

For my project I thought I would honor my all time favorite character....Minnie Mouse! I cut the Mickey head and Minnie Mouse bow with Mickey and Friends cart and cut the same bunny ears that I used for yesterday's mini album project which were from 3 Birds on a Parade cart. I placed the bow in my Xyron sticker machine upside down and poured Martha Stewart Glitter over the top. This is my favorite technique to use when I play with glitter. I did some faux stitching and found some matching ribbon and played around with My Creative Time Stamps to get this "Bunny Crossing" sentiment!

BLOG CANDY!!! I am giving away a set of Peachy Keen Stamps CUTE AND CUDDLY to one lucky follower. To qualify you must be a follower and leave me a comment on both posts, be sure to check out yesterday's mini album project HERE! I will announce a Random winner on Monday.

#103 Disney Easter Egg Hop- Mini Album

Gif Created on Make A Gif

Hi everyone!!! Welcome to the Disney Easter Egg Hop hosted by my sweet, talented and fellow Disney freak like me...... MONICA!! I was so excited when Monica asked me to help Co-Host this fun Hop because she know's how much I love Disney! I would like to thank ELSA for making this super cute hop button, thank you Elsa!

For our Disney Easter Egg Hop our theme was Anything Goes just as long as it's Disney and Easter, pretty cute combo if you ask me! Some of us will be posting on both days SAT/SUN so be sure to stop by again tomorrow.

Now onto my project! I made an Easter mini album for my son Aidan (age 3), he was so happy that I let him pick all of the cuts it's pretty funny that he didn't want Minnie Mouse or Daisy LOL, he chose all of the boys! I made this so I can place just pictures of him and his other little cousins on Easter this Sunday. I wanted it to be an "All Kiddie" mini album I figured that it would be nice for him to look at and see other little kids which are his family.

This is the front cover, I made the entire mini out of one 12x12 sheet of blue textured cardstock. I just played around with the folds and this is what I came out with. I didn't plan on making a mini I actually made a pre-made 2 page layout with these same exact papers and I just didn't have the vision since I normally do not make pre-made LO's. I feel like I need to have my pictures in my hands since I like to crop them a lot. I scored the 12x12 paper at every 3 inches to make 4 sections and scored down the middle at 6 inches. The font is from Robotz cart, and I made my own book binding with a sheet of patterned paper cut at 2x6 inches and folded in half. All papers are from SEI.

Here's what the back and front covers look like. You can also see the bottlecap I made on the left side.

For this bottlecap Idea I orginally saw an epoxy maker at the scrapbook expo in Anaheim and Monica gave me this idea to use Glossy acents instead to save money...thanks Monica!! Well I actually stamped Pluto (my son chose!) and colored him with Bic Markers and placed the paper in the UTEE Melting Pot, then I hammered down and distressed with a Meat mallet!! Yes a kitchen tool! Well I just discovered that I can use that instead of pounding chicken, it has been sitting in my kitchen drawer for years waiting to be used LOL! I added twine behind the front and back covers as a closure and punched a whole in the bottlecap with my Crop a dile.

Here's the first 2 pages all cuts are from Mickey and Friends cart, the bunny ears are from 3 Birds On A Parade, and all stamps are Pink By Design. I also did faux stitching all all pages.

To create a circle opening I just punched a half circle with my 3inch circle punch. For the triangle opening I just folded over the paper.

I cut these tags from Sweet Treats and added some Spring looking ribbon. This is where I will place the photos and I also have the option of placing anywhere from 4 to 12 wallet sized photo's in this mini if I use all empty spaces.

BLOG CANDY!!! I am giving away a set of Peachy Keen Stamps CUTE AND CUDDLY to one lucky follower. To qualify you must be a follower and leave me a comment on both posts, be sure to check out my new Disney project tomorrow! I will announce a Random winner on Monday.

#51 Sensational Scenes Blog Hop

Hello everyone welcome to the Sensational Scenes Blog Hop hosted by Christina from http://cardcreationsbyc.blogspot.com/  if you are here from Mel's blog http://scrappymel.blogspot.com/ then you are in the right spot. For this hop Christina asked us to create a Scene themed card. I was super excited to make one since I never make scenery type of cards. I was inspired to make this card based on a recent trip to California Adventure (California Adventure is a Disney theme park).

First I stamped the entire background with polka dot stamps to make it look light I used blue chalk ink. The carousel and palm tree are from the Summer Vacation Seasonal cart, the roller coaster is from Carousel LITE cart, the people are from Going Places and Mickey and Mickey hats are from the Mickey & Friends cart. I placed pop dots under the tree and the people and stamped the sentiment with Pink By Design.
Here is a night time picture of  my inspiration:

I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for hopping with us today! Thank you to Christina for letting me join you on your hop!

16. ELSA http://cricutlvr.blogspot.com/

For this week's challenge we are flaunting the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge and the cuts are Ragedy Ann/ and or Andy on Page 36 and Page 37 of the handbook.

I made a layout with Ragedy Ann and Andy the title says " I love My Cousin Na-Yee (AKA Natalie)"

***Remember you can always click on the picture to zoom in =)***

Aren't they cute!?! The large circle cuts are from my free Gypsy cartridge Printing Press. The font is from Hello Kitty Font, the star border is also from Paper Doll Dress Up. I did some stamping and I also stamped their faces with PKS Rag Doll and Teddy Face Assortment. The ticket stamp is a digi stamp from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. The picture is my son and his cousin Natalie, he always calls her "NA-YEE" so that's where I got the title from. (My second picture didn't look right to me so I will have to re-print a different photo)He is so sweet to her like a big brother always watching out for her. I took these pics of them last May and I told my sister Joanna that I want to make a Ragedy Ann and Andy layout about them holding hands! I finally did it yippee!!

Now onto my 2nd super secret bonus Paper Doll project!!
I made a mini album/autograph book! I made this because my hubby and I invested in Disneyland/California Adventure annual passes recently and it was worth every penny!! I am now a Disney Addict!! I made this autograph book from a 6x6 chipboard album I bought from Michael's $1 bin. The CASTLE is from Paper Doll Dress Up. The title is chipboard letters from We R Memory Keepers. I bought the Mickey Keychain at Disneyland. I painted all the edges with black acrylic paint. I didn't really want to go all out on this mini with too many details that way the characters have room to sign their autograph's and plus this is for my 3 year old son! Never trust a 3 year old lol!!

All of the Mickey cuts on every page are from the Mickey & Friends cartridge. I cut them on DCVW black glitter paper. I didn't want to mess with all of those teeny-tiny Disney layers! I got the Disney background paper from Joann's and I only needed 2 complete 12x12 sheets of paper to make this!

For the back cover I left it simple with a smaller Mickey Mouse head. This entire mini album/autograph book only cost me $1.50 to make! With the Key Chain it cost $5.50! My hubby wanted to buy a $12 one at Disneyland for our son and I yelled at him and said I can make that for less than $3! and I did and I think it looks better then the ones at the park. Now we just need to hunt down all the characters at D-Land!!

Blog CANDY--- I am giving away this ME and  MY BIG IDEAS 8x8 Love/Wedding page kit to one lucky follower just leave me a comment here!

Please make sure you leave comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win the Grand Prize give away on Janis's blog which is the  WIDE EYED KIDS ASSORTMENT sponsored by Peachy Keen Stamps.

#172 Cutting Fabric in the Cricut plus BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! (Long post)

***I love the 80's Blog Hop still going on HERE***

Happy Halloween everyone!! I am having a 3 day Halloween celebration it started with a Trunk or Treat yesterday and a Halloween Block Party today in my neighborhood and tommorow a festival and maybe more trick or treating, busy but still managed to MAKE my costume!! I am going to tell you all about it here and some GREAT NEWS!! I am going to be part of 2 Blog Hops so please mark your calendars because there will be lots of giveaways! Here's the buttons feel free to post them on your blogs and link back to my blog you won't want to miss out! The 1st one is "My Thanksgiving Blessings Blog Hop" on November 20-21 it's a  Saturday and Sunday for the Design Team that I am on called Inking it Up Crazy

And for the 2nd Blog Hop that I am part of I can happily say that it was all my idea yep little ol' me ha ha! I suggested to me sweet dear bloggy friend Janis that we should have a QUEEN Blog Hop with all of the Queens for the other Design Team I am on at Paper Playtime which is on December 11th Saturday which is going to be our "Stocking Stuffer Blog Hop" I am super excited because we are all going to be making inexpenive stocking stuffers or small handmade gifts. I have been brainstorming all about this I have soooooo many ideas!! I hop you all are able to make it and feel free to post it on your blog/facebook!

Okay so my other BIG ANNOUNCEMENT is: I Made my Lady Gaga Halloween costume up above at the beginning of this post with my Cricut Expression!! I will give you step by step instructions on how I did it, I still can't believe I actually did it I was so scared LOL!
My inspiration Was to be Lady Gaga, I think everyone knows who this is, for those of you who do not know who she is she is a Mega Super Famous Pop Star Musical Artist /entertainer/trendsetter ,etc.! Anyways I wanted to be her this year for Halloween I love Halloween and me and my honey dress up every year with our son Aidan.  Lady Gaga costumes were so popular and expensive after a lot of research on which costume I wanted to copy I saw this one I thought hey I could do that!

Step 1: Get a Yellow T-Shirt from Michael's cost me $3
Step 2: Get Pellon "Wonder Under"  Iron-on Transfer fabric/paper from Joann's cost $1.99 per yard I used my 40% off coupon, And buy your choice color fabric I chose Black Fabric.
Step 3:Iron! Place rough side of Wonder Under to black Fabric and iron.

Step 4: Cut Fabric in Cricut!!! Sorry no pic =(  Okay pay attention and take notes here it will save you time! Place the sheet that you just ironed see pic above it the one I just ironed, place that on your mat with the Wonder Under stuck to the mat and the fabric facing you, make sure your mat is sticky! Speed Medium, Pressure Max, Blade 6 and Cut it 3x! My fabric was Kind of thick and I tried cutting 3 different times I got the best results with these settings. I cut the Mickey image from Mickey and friends cricut Cartridge. Okay now you are going get your Mickey heads and off to the next step!

Step 5: Attaching Image to Shirt. You are going to peel off the Wonder Under  and place your image on your shirt and get a damp cloth. Place the damp cloth over your image and iron over the damp cloth and then you remove your cloth and you will see that your fabric is magically glued to your shirt!! This was my 1st time ever buying fabric in my life, I felt weird at Joann's buying it, like I was cheating on the scrapbook section LOL! Oh I also cut some parts of my shirt off the sleeves, and the neck area. Here is the final picture and if you would like to see the video that I watched over and over on how to make this check out My Pink Stamper. I watched it about 2 or 3 times, plus the instructions were on the Wonder Under Package it was really easy and I will do it again. UPDATE: After waering this costume for 7 hours last night the Mickey head started peeling off half way, I am thinking maybe I didnt iron long enough because it was heavy fabric. At least they didn't fall off and it held up for 7 hours. So my completed costume with shirt, fabric, wonder under, black lipstick, wig and glasses was only $20! That's great compared to $70 for the complete look at the costume stores. I hope I motivated and inspired you all to cut fabic in your Cricut and to not be scared like me LOL!Happy Halloween!! Love you guys!!

Be sure to check out the I love the 80's Blog Hop still going on now right HERE!! I am also entering my Halloween costume at Fantabulous Cricut for their challenge which is Halloween Ideas.
