#4 Rock Star Pirate Bear Card

Hi everyone! For today's project I made a little rock star pirate bear card for Crafty Sprouts , everyday for the last week the DT has been showcasing Erika's awesome stamps. Today I am showcasing the Are You Ready To Rock stamp set by Crafty Sprouts which was one of her first releases that I LOVE! This set is so versatile there's stamps in this set even for babies and men!

I cut the marquee shape from Accent Essentials Cricut cart, the bear with crossbones are from the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge. I used some of my older paper that I've had in my stash for about 2 1/2 years now, which is the All Dressed Up stack from DCWV! I also embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's posts HERE, and tomorrow everyone from the DT will be showing our favorite sets! Have a great day!

#6 El Dia De Reyes Blog Hop Card

Hello everyone and welcome to El Dia De Reyes Blog Hop hosted by Gaby. If you are here from Dorcas 4 Crafty Angels then you are in the right spot. If you just started and would like to start at the beginning please go straight to Gaby's blog at http://www.gabycreates.com/. I was so honored when Gaby asked me to join in on this very exciting hop eventhough I don't actually celebrate this holiday I have heard of it and it's a tradition celebrated around the world for years and years. If you would like more info on the meaning behind the celebration please click HERE.

When Gaby explained to us all about El Dia De Reyes she included this paragraph and from this paragraph I was inspired to make my card:

The children's celebration of receiving presents is not until January 6th, "el día de Reyes", the day of the Kings, or the Wise Men Day. It is the Magi who brought the presents to the Baby Jesus, thus, they bring the toys to the boys and girls who have been good. The children place their shoes by the window, so the Magi place the present in the shoe. It the present is bigger than the shoe, it will be placed next to it. Many children, get a new pair of shoes for a present.

Now onto my project:

Since I was inspired by the paragraph above I decided to make a shoe card with a present in it! The shoe was cut from the Rock Princess cartirdge and the present is from Sweet Treats cartridge. I embossed the present with my Cuttlebug, inked it up and added Stickles. I also inked around the edges of the shoe especially on the bottom of the shoe to make it look worn.  I stamped the sentiment and attached it to a border from a MS border punch and for a final touch I added a large black button to the shoe. If you scroll down to my post #4 I made another project with the negative piece from the shoe! I am so proud of myself for recyling LOL!

For my Blog candy I am giving away a set of Prima Flowers I just love those pretty vibrant colors! All you have to do is be a follower and  just make sure you leave me a comment! I will post the winner on Sunday or Monday.

#4 Rock Princess Cat

Hello everyone I am happy to say that I have stuck to my New Year's resolution and have posted something everyday since 2011 started woo-hoo!!! For my kitty cart card I cut the cat from Rock Princess and stamped the face with Peachy Keen Stamps...Kitty Tear Faces! I embossed the green paper with my cuttlebug and stamped the sentiment with Pink By Design Stamps. I inked the edges up and tied a little bow to the side. I put stickles on the headphones and bling on the collar. For the frame shape you're not going to believe what it is LOL!! The red frame paper is actually a negative piece for something I created for my blog hop project on Thursday.....sorry I can't tell you what it is, can you guess?? I will give you a hint it's also from Rock Princess!!

Please mark your calendars for to very exciting blog hops happening right here on my blog, the first one is Dia De Reyes Hop on Jan. 6th and the second is the Hello Kitty Blog Hop on Jan. 7th!

#181 & #182 Rocker Cards

Good morning everyone! I hope you guys are all having a rockin' day! For those who are new at my blog Welcome! Also I am on a DT called  Paper Playtime and our fabulous theme is YOU ROCK!! I love this them so much because I have been wanting to use my Rock Princess cart more often. We were sponsored with these very cute digi's from The Stamping Boutique be sure to check them out, they will also be giving the winner 5 Digi's of their choice. Now for my cards, for the first one I did some stamping, I cut the tag from Once Upon A Princess, the girl is from Rock Princess (I forgot a layer opps!) I stamped a star on her shirt and added Stickles, I embossed the background with my Cuttlebug Comapion Robotz folder, that was awesome that I was able to use a Robot themed folder for this card!Doesn't the girl remind you of Gwen Stefani back in the 90's in her No Doubt days!?! I love her!

For my 2nd card,  I embossed the background with my Cuttlebug, then I sanded it down to expose the white core. The flag with the birds are from Rock Princess and I stamped the sentiment. These digi's are from The Stamping Boutique I colored them with MS pencil's cut them out and put a pop dot underneath them. I made this card to send it to my hubby I was thinking that was him because he likes singing and playing Guitar Hero,  and I like wearing pink, and wearing a lot of accessories!

#170 I love the 80's Blog Hop

My Blog Candy!!!
Hey everyone welcome to the I LOVE  the 80's Blog Hop!!! We are celebrating Raven's birthday today with a hop! I would like to thank Raven for letting me be apart of this 80's hop I think it is such a great theme for a hop, and I want to give her a big giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Be sure to start the hop on her blog for a chance at 4 awesome giveaways.

For my 80's inspired card I made this super cool totally awesome radio card from Rock Princess. I put some black distress ink on some parts of the radio and put stickles on the white parts. I stamped the large flourish background stamps and stamped and colored the "Live Loud" sentiment. I also added some hot pink ribbon and put a pop dot underneath the sentiment and underneath the music notes, and the antenna too. I really wanted this card to look like a lot of blush on a woman's face from the 80's LOL! So I put a lot of Worn Lipstick Distress ink and a little bit of black distress ink to the edges and really smeared it on. I then added some Yellow colored glimmer mist. What to you think does it look like messy hot pink 80's make up LOL! I guess all I need is some blue eyshadow and spandex!

For my give away of these cute girly stamps with perfect sentiments for card making all you have to do is leave me a COMMENTand be a FOLLOWER! Take care and have fun on your journey back in time to the 80's I feel like watching E.T. or Back to the Future now LOL! Here's the order of the blog hop:

#159 Sweet Little Angel

Hello everyone!! Here's a little something new that I experimented with that I LOVE can you guess what it is?? Yep it's Vintage clip Art, I love vintage stuff, lace, glitter and the antique silver and gold look. I cut the word "Sweet" from Country Life, The title "Little Angel" with the halo are from Rock Princess. I did my journaling underneath the vellum and distressed a little bit with my Walnut Stain distress ink. The glitter is from Martha Stewart, the heart is from Rock Princess also. The white/gold ribbon is Joann's Christmas ribbon!! I stamped the sentiment on Kraft paper and also printed the angels on Kraft paper, and cut the top and bottom edges with decorative scissors. I did some stitching on the top left and added buttons and brads. I found the free Vintage Clip Art Images at Vintage Holiday Crafts.

I wanted to give a BIG thank you to Moe Creations for posting a link to a blog that shows all of the current challenges Pile it On Challenges and also to my sister Joanna for telling me and introducing me to the FREE Vintage Clip Art world!! Thank You Both!! Here's the challenges that I am entering for this project:
Our Creative Corner Use at least 3 different embellishments
Tuesday Throwdown 3 different elements, like brads, paper, etc.
Papertake Weekly 3 of a Kind, embellishments
