#239 Crafty Sprouts DT day and 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Today is a very special day because it's Crafty Sprouts DT Day and also the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gift 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.

For my 1st day of Christmas project I made a sexy little vixen card to give to my hubby ;)

For Crafty Sprouts challenge this week the theme is "tag It". I cut the tag from Plantin Schoolbook and embossed the sentiment using embossing powder. The sentiment says "Is it too late to be good" using Crafty Sprouts Have a cool yule stamp set. I colored this digi stamp called "Cheeky Kitty" from The Greeting farm Stamps using Prismacolor pencils. I also cut the scallop shape from A Child's Year Cricut cart and embossed it with a Basic Grey snowflake folder using my Cuttlebug. Click HERE to enter in Crafty Sprouts "Tag It" challenge!

BLOG CANDY!! In honor of me creating 12 projects 12 days in a row, I will be celebrating by giving away ONE $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online stores......  PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment on all 12 of my 12 Days of Christmas post and be a follower. The last day will be on December 6th. I will announce a random winner on Wed. 12/7 good luck!

#171 Christmas in July Tag/Guest Designer

Hi everyone! I am super excited to share with you my totally awesome tag LOL! That I made for the Christmas in July Week for Giselle's Blog.... I'm a guest designer again today yay!

Ok so I totally LOVE the outcome of this tag, I mean.... isn't it gorgeous I feel like it's something I would buy from a fancy store. I feel horrible because I haven't been crafting or blogging much because I hurt my back and had to go to the hospital, and this was my first project that I made in a very long time I really miss crafting a lot and my Cricut misses me haha, but first things first, I need to get better ASAP!!

For my tag, I cut the shape on DCWV heavyweight Christmas paper stack from 2010, the tag is from Plantin Schoolbook cart, the gold and lace ribbon are Christmas ribbon, the 3D flower is from my Tattered Rose Tim Holtz die, that I placed in my Cuttlebug, stamped the music notes, and sprayed with green and gold glimmer mist. I stamped the Christmas tree/sentiment stamp and embossed with white embossing powder. I then placed the red paper in my Zutter Distrezz it all machine, and inked up all edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink (my fav!) The tag was cut about 6x3.5 inches! Please make sure to check out everyone's post from all week, there is some really good Blog Candy from some amazing sponsors! check it out HERE

Be sure to mark your calendars for my Butterfly Birthday Blog Hop in honor of my Birthday!! The hop is July 30-31st!!

Sandra,
Happy Anniversary!!! :)
I love your projects! You are such an inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing so many!
I love celebrating Valentine's Day (truth be told, we are always finding little reasons to celebrate & don't just wait for the big holidays)! We usually set a small gift by our children's breakfast plates (I'm behind this year, but last year we got heart-shaped chocolate boxes from See's and the year before we used Valentine Beanie Babies!) and make pink, heart-shaped pancakes! My children are still young enough (6 & 8) that I usually get to volunteer at their school parties (what fun!) and then we have a special, candle-lit dinner with heart-shaped creme brulee with raspberries for dessert (I usually will make a decadent heart-shaped chocolate cake, too)!
Thank you so much for sharing and for the chance to win (you can never have enough stamps! ;)!

# 33 Love Is In The Air Blog Hop

Photobucket

Welcome to my Blog and the Love Is In The Air Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Molly ARMY WIFE LEARNS THE CRICUT, you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at  http://www.crossmyhearpapercrafts.blogspot.com/. This blog hop is all about love themed ideas..

For my project I made a bouqet of roses from the Forever Young Cricut cartridge. I used all Valentine's Day themed paper from K & Co. Each rose has 3 different layers of flowers to complete each rose. I find the best way to adhere them together is with a hot glue gun. The can is a recycled Pineapple can can yum yum! I adhered the paper on the can with my ATG adhesive and it sticks perfectly. I added lace on top and bottom and cut each bamboo skewer in half since they were too long. Then after I bunched them all together I tied some pink lace to hold them together. I have been wanting to make this project for so long I have been storing it in my head for over a year now LOL! I am glad I finally did the work because I love the way it came out!

I made some green hearts for leaves. The hearts are from Plantin Schoolbook.

Now for some Blog Candy! I will give away a Brand New I-Rock to one lucky follower. Just leave me a comment telling me what type of handmade flowers you like to make. Also, please be sure to check back tomorrow for some more blog candy that I will be giving away on my Love At First Sight Blog Hop!

A Banner For a Child's Room (for My niece Natalie)

For My Gift Idea I decided to actually make a Gift for my sweet adorable niece Natalie. She just had her 1st birthday party last weekend and I was going to make this to give to her for her b-day but I never got around to it. Luckily it hit me...I said hey I can give it to her for christmas LOL! So I wanted to it be bright and cheery since that's how her momma has decorated her room I think mom, dad and baby Natalie or should I say toddler are all going to love it. It's pretty long it's about 8 feet long!! I cut the scallop ovals from A Child's Year, the font is from All Mixed Up and the sweet dancing bears are from Twinkle Toes. The scallops were cut about 9 inches and they bears and font were cut at 6.71 (Gyspy size) the pretty purple glitter ribbon is actually Christmas ribbon From Michael's that is on sale now for 50% off I think this banner maybe cost $1 total to make if I divide it amost multiple projects. This was so easy to make I love making banner it took me about 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours at the most! I plan on making more for my other nieces and nephews and my son too! oh I almost forgot! I cut the circles at around 1 inch from Plantin Schoolbook to put the ribbon through the holes.

Now for My Blog candy to win these Fiskars Stamps all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you are asking Santa to bring you for Christmas! I am asking for Glimmer Mist, and Cricut Cartridges galore LOL! Also, you can be a Follower if my work inspires you, but it's not required. I appreciate all of my new and old blog lovers LOL!

Next on the list is Jess http://myscrapdiary-jess.blogspot.com/ click on the badge to take you there.

#176 Dream Big

***My 2nd post Click HERE to see my mushroom card***
Hi everyone thanks for stopping by! I made this card to add to my collection to give to someone, who's having a rough time and wants to give up on things. When I was younger it seemed like all of my friends all wanted to get married so maybe I will give this to them and say keep dreaming, your Prince charming is still out there! The diamond is from Hannah Montana I put Stickles on the white parts. I cut the circle shaped from Plantin Schoolbook and stamped the sentiment...get it "Dream Big" meaning dream for a "BIG ROCK/Diamond" LOL! I also added some black ribbon and inked the edges of the paper. I was inspired by one of my favorite jewlery stores to make this-Tiffany's!

#148 Danger haunted ghost house card *****NEWS FLASH*******

Hey everyone I have some awesome news for you!! Today (October 2nd) was my son's 3rd birthday Happy Birthday Aidan! Also I was selected to be a Fall Designer at Inking it up Crazy Kassidy is so sweet to have picked me I was so very super excited and happy yay! She also chose 5 other designers for her Fall DT, she will be posting our projects every other week. Here is a card I made for her blog she wanted us to do a pumpkin theme this week. My inspiration for this card was actually from a show that I am obsessed with called "True Blood" it's about vampires. This house from the October 31st cartridge reminds me of Bill compton's house....a character. So I made it a very spooky bloody torture house beware because there are haunting pumpkins in front (Doodlecharms) and bloody ghost (stamps) and blood dripping everywhere (MS Drippy goo punch), there is also a haunted moon (Plantin Schoolbook) with an evil witch(Stamps) flying over the house!!! I made an opening on the door so you can see the bloody ghost when you open it. The other fantastic news is I will be part of a Blog Hop going on right here tommorow October 3rd at 8am EST. I will be giving out blog candy to one lucky winner, there will be 10 stops and many chances to win more blog candy I hope everyone can make it!!

For this layout I cut the sock monskey from B is for Boy, the 2 yello scallop corners are from Plantin Schoolbook I added a flower button to each of them. The tabs underneath the pics are from From my Kitchen I put letter stickers on them as my title, these are all pics when my son turned 2 months....only 2 months and so much personality! The large index card on top where I did my journaling is from From My Kitchen I added some rub-on borders to it and a Prima flower with a button.  For all the borders I punched them from a border punch and added a strip of blue stripped ribbon.

#125 The City (Fantabulous Cricut, Alphabet Challenge)

For this weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut the theme is travel/road trip and the theme at Alphabet challenge is S for scallops it's to make anything with a scallop shape. I used to live in the san Francisco Bay area a few years ago and I am making a scrapbook with the "Living in San Francisco" theme, to show everything that we did while living there. All the locals call San Francisco "The City" to this day I still call it The city, a lot of people say that it's a little New York on the west coast. So now I will tell you about my project I used all old school carts LOL, the subway is called BART so I made myself a BART replica from Going Places and added 2 red buttons to look like lights. The font is from Opposites Attract, the scallop square is from Accent Essentials, the skyline is from Plantin Schoolbook I cut it on silver metallic paper. I added some Prima flowers, brads, did some distressing, and cut some little sayings from patterened paper on the bottom left side.

#119 "A" for Aidan Page (2 new Challenges!)

This week's challenge at Frosted Designs it is circles theme. This is my first to participating in one of their challenges, they have so many unique challenges week after week, they inspire me!! I cut all of the circles from Plantin schoolbook at 3inches and I cut the pictures of my son from a 3 inch circle punch. The A title where I did my journaling is from the Robotz cartridge. The cutie little bear is from CAC I stamped with my Peachy keen stamps. I made my own embellishment with a safety pin and added a Prima flower and a large brad. All of the flowers here are Prima flowers and I added brads, buttons, and bling to them. The butterflies are from the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and the are "landing" on a sticker that says "Because I'm cute that's why!" I am also entering this to another challenge blog that I just found called Stampin Sisters in Christ their theme this week is to use metal, I found that it was perfect since I used a paper clip, a circle style swirly metal clip, and different brads.

#94, 95,96 Three vacation Layouts!

For this LO I originally made it for the Throwback Thursday birthday challenge but I didn't realize it ended on Saturday night, that's okay though! The birds are from CAC I embossed their wings with my cuttlebug and added a pop dot to the wings and hats, party hat is from ACY, sombrero hat is from Designer's Calendar I colored in the design with markers. Music notes from Hannah Montana, font is from Lyrical Letters, balloons from OUAP I stamped their faces, I handmade the black flower with the red button, I did the journaling on the green polka dot paper. This was my last page of my Mazatlan B-day Vacation book, I wanted to highlight some of the things we did and saw.

For this entired LO I used CAC for the title, mouse, cheese and camera...they were all on the same button feature! I made the mouse look like he was standing on top of the camera with a pop dot I also put a pop dot behind the cheese. I embossed the camera with CB and added silver stickles to the camera's "Flash". I inked the camera and the cheese with my Walnut Stain distress ink.  I put the large piece of patterned paper behind the pic of me and my son so it could "look" like it's in a picture frame. I cut 2 strips of border paper and put it on the bottom with 3 buttons on the left.
I did this page a while ago and didn't realize I haven't posted it yet, this is my 1st page for my Mazatlan album. I cut a large heart on vellum paper and did faux stitching from AE, the 2 other hearts on the left are also from AE. The red heart on the right which I stamped is from PS, also the brackets and font are from PS. I did some stamping (floral and bird) with my Tim Holtz stamps which I love! I also added a border from a Martha Stewart punch, ribbon, and fancy large black brads.

**********************************************

So for this post I decided to post 3 in 1 since my goal is to complete 365 projects in 365 days....I'm kind of behind so this is my way of catching up! There's a description for each LO under each pic, if you have any questions on which carts I used for each LO please don't hesitate to ask!

#82 Bubbles theme for (Paper Playtime #7)

Plenty of bubbly embossing LOL!

I am so happy and excited to be Queen again at Paper Playtime for the Bubbles theme. I decided to do a LO of my son's 1st trip to the Aquarium when he was 10 months old while on vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico 2 years ago!!! I was inspired by the fish tank he was looking at in the picture here, so I used my creativity to make this Layout look exactly like a fish tank what do you think!?! I embossed pretty much everything with my cuttlebug, added some stickles, distress inks and used my Peachy Keen stamps on some of the faces.  I used 6 different carts so here is a list:

Plantin Schoolbook-   circle
Zooballo-  title and orange fish
Everyday Paper Dolls-  Purple fish
Create a Critter-  Seahorse, green plant, blue waves (it was a layer to something else that I welded together to make one long 12 inch strip) starfish, sea shell,  and yellow/red/white fish
Life's a Beach-  coppery colored coral reef
A Child's Year-  bubbles

#81 Feathered Friends LO (For Throwback Thursday)

A close up of my handmade peacock and parrot!

I love making my own flowers.

For Emma's Challenge this week it was animal themed so we had to use Zooballo. I cut the birds from Zooballoo and created my own peacock, parrot and baby parrot! I used 2 different inks to color them, then embossed and added stickles. I embossed the little red plant from CAC. The title and the large paper flower embellishment are from Give a Hoot. To make the flower I cut it in 3 different sizes then put a pop dot under each layer. The circles are from Plantin Schoolbook.  The tiny flowers, butterfly, and border strip are all punches. I added stickles to the title and places several eyelets and washers on my page finally I sanded 2 corners of my page and misted with glimmer mist.
