#44-46 Getting Crafty with the Cameo Blog Hop

Hi everyone welcome to the Getting Crafty with the Cameo Blog Hop hosted by the wonderful talented KRISTY!!! If you are here from CANDACE's blog you are in the right spot! This is going to be a super fun hop all about the most awesome cutting machine EVER.... the Silhouette Cameo!

There is so much blog candy to be won on this hop, all you have to do is leave a comment on all the blogs and stop by each Facebook page of each of our sponsors and let them know we sent you! Here's a list of prizes:

Project 1: Halloween Layout
For those of you who read my blog and Facebook know that I have been working very hard to finish my 2010 scrapbook album before my baby arrives here in about 2 weeks! So I decided it would be a great excuse to buy some very cool Halloween files from the Silhouette store to make my layout. The title and the pumpkin/spiderweb border were all from my Cameo. They are very very intricate and super skinny but they cut out so perfect! I also added some Lavendar Stickles to the font, "Raven" colored Glimmer Mist, and some chunky fabric brads, the stamp sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. The grey crinkle ribbon here was hand dyed by myself!

Project 2: I Love You Anniversary Shaped Card
I made this card pretty large about 5x7 for my hubby for our Anniversary which was on 2.28 well, I haven't given it to him yet since he's been on deployment the last 4 months, luckily I will see him next Friday and I can't wait! I hope he likes his "guy" card! I also embossed everything with my Cuttlebug.

Project 3: Altered Composition Notebook
I made this altered composition notebook for my best friend Melyssa's birthday, she loves yellow, pink and owls! It looks really complicated but it was super EASY!! This gift took me about 30 minutes or less! I also added a rosette, black tulle and buttons. I embossed the letters with my Cuttlebug.

BLOG CANDY!!!!!!! I am giving away 3 yards of the gray crinkle ribbon hand dyed by yours truly! (This is the same color ribbon I used in my Halloween layout above) All you have to do is be a follower and leave me a comment telling me which one is your favorite project here! I will announce a winner on Monday 3/26! Good luck!

Here's a list by name of all the Silhouette files I used in my projects:
-Owl Cutout
-matchbox notebook note overlay
-i love you card
-halloween border
-happy halloween phrase

#39 St. Patrick's Day Layout

Hi everyone sorry I've been a little M.I.A. lately I am getting near the end of my pregnancy I just entered my 9th month of pregnancy today and I haven't been crafting nearly as much as I want to, and I've been really sick with the flu these past couple of days.

For my layout I actually made this almost a month ago but haven't had a chance to get it posted on my blog, I made a pre-made scrapbook page for St. Patty's Day this year! All the files I used here are from My Scrap Chick, I added tons of Stickles, Glimmer Mist and I also did some stitching with my Sew Easy. I also added some gold glitter ribbon along with gold brads. I also used Peachy Keen Stamps here for the bear's face, and also the sentiment on the lower left corner.

I am entering my layout in a few challenges below:

#37 Father's Day Layout

Hi everyone! Here's a Father's Day layout I made for the Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge. For my layout I used the Holiday Cakes Cricut cartridge for the title, the picture frame is from Lacey Labels Cricut LITE, and the old car is from Billionaire Cricut LITE. I  added some silver eyelets to the frame with my Crop a Dile and found some old fashioned buttons in my stash for the wheels. I made my own yellown crinkle ribbon and sanded down all the edges of my background paper, and sprayed Glimmer Mist all over my page. The Peachy Keen Stamp I used here is the Large Polka Dot Background Stamp

#32 Easter Peeps Layout for SVG Attic DT Day

Happy LEAP DAY!!!! It's SANDRA here and for this week's project  I made  a pre-made layout for this year's Easter pics, especially after seeing these super cute cuts from the NEW set called EASTER ELEMENTS by SVG ATTIC I could NOT resist using this set ASAP lol!

The patterned papers I used here were actually from a set I got from the $1 bins at Target last year these papers are teenager themed but I think they worked out good with my Peeps! The stickers I used are thick glitter foam stickers from Creative Imaginations. I also added green pastel ribbon, pearls, purple Martha Stewart glitter and sprayed everything with "Yellow Daisy" Glimmer Mist, I just love the shimmer on the peeps in the pic above.

I cut everything here including the bunny and chick peeps, and also the butterfly with SCAL 3 and my Silhouette Cameo.

Be sure to check out my post's and the rest of the DT's daily posts for inspiration HERE on the SVG Attic Blog, along with our new color challenge!

#31 Baby Blog Hop Alligator Layout

Photobucket

Hi everyone welcome to the baby blog hop hosted by Sylvia from http://bellascrapbookdesigns.blogspot.com/ if you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot! Here's a sweet blog hop all about babies, I really wanted to be part of it since I will be having my sweet baby girl here in about 5 more weeks, I am so excited it's going by pretty fast and before you know it I will be a mother of 2 instead of 1!

In honor of me having a new arrival soon I decided to finally make my baby her first layout for her baby scrapbook album. The alligator is from Lettering Delights called "Love Bites" which I cut out using my SCAL3 along with my Silhouette Cameo. I did some embossing on the alligator and also on the umbrella and added Stickles, inking and bling, I also stamped the eyes using PKS Winter Wonderland faces. The flowers are all Prima and I added pink pearls to the centers and used 2 different Glimmer Mist sprays. The glitter chipboard letters are from We R Memory Keepers. I cut the outer doily square shape and the scalloped rectangle for the mat using files from the Silhouette store.

Thank you for hopping with us today!

#24 Tiny Turtles Layout

Hi everyone! I have been very determined to finish my 2010 Scrapbook album before my baby gets arrives in April, I just can't believe how long it's taking me... I guess because last year I made so many cards and not enough scrapbook pages! Well that is all going to change since my New Year's resolution was to make way more layout then cards this year I think I am doing good so far lol!

I made this layout to feature our tiny pet turtles that we got in 2010, they were about 2 inches or less each and now they have grown so much, they are the size of the palm of my hand, it's pretty neat watching them grow and swim around in their tank.

I used the Life's A Beach Cricut cartridge for the turtles and pulled out all of my "chocolate" colored supplies so I can enter in Amanda's Crafts and More Challenge which is "chocolate" themed. I used chocolate colored cardstock, ribbon, twine, glimmer mist, buttons, flowers, marker, and stickers! I also embossed the turtles with my Cuttlebug and added some pearly bling.

#243 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 5 Vintage Altered Composition Book

Hi everyone welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop DAY 5 hosted by Sylvia Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you are here from Sylvia's blog then you are in the right spot!  This hop is all about making 12 different Christmas gifts 12 days in a row and the last day we will be posting is on December 6th.
This is the before picture of my sad, depressing composition book I got from the Dollar Tree!! LOL!

Here's the AFTER picture!! 100 times better then the before picture right ladies lol!

I covered the front and back of the book using 2 thin 12x12 sheets of K & Company patterned paper, I cut each piece into 9x12 inches and adhered with my ATG gun. I didn't feel like messing with modge podge! I added black ribbon to the side.

I stamped the sentiment "Listen to your heart" and frame using Tim Holtz stamps. I made this tulle flower myself and added a brad in the middle! I sprayed the frame with pink glimmer mist and added distress ink.

Dress form on left is from Forever Young Cricut cartridge, and the other 2 are from Summer in Paris seasonal Cricut cart. I added black Onyx Martha Stewart glitter to them, and added bling with my i-rock only to the larger dress form.

Here's a tag/bookmark I made I stamped the Eiffel tower using a Tim Holtz stamp, and added rose distress ink, and a pink silk flower that's from the $1 store, along with tulle and a black glitter button. I stamped the first page using a heart stamp from Joann's. I placed a paper clip behind the flower so that you can actually hold the bookmark in place.

Here's the inside flap of the book, you can see how I folded down the front paper and added black paper and a pink border strip which is also a pocket to hold stuff, here's an example of the pocket holding the bookmark I made.

I went a little crazy with my Black distress ink..... there's no such thing as too much distressing or glitter that's my motto LOL! I covered all of the outside pages with black distress ink too!

I hope you enjoyed today's gift I made, it was a true work of heart, only took me 3+ hours but worth it!! I was really glad to make something vintage it's been awhile!

BLOG CANDY!! In honor of me creating 12 projects 12 days in a row, I will be celebrating by giving away ONE $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online stores......  PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment on all 12 of my 12 Days of Christmas post and be a follower. The last day will be on December 6th. I will announce a random winner on Wed. 12/7 good luck!

#237-283 Crafty Sprouts New Release blog Hop/ Nurse Smurfette and Twilight Cards

****CLICK HERE to view DAY 1****

Hi everyone!! Good morning and welcome to the much anticipated Day 2 of Crafty Sprouts Stamps New Release blog hop, hosted by Erika AKA Crafty Sprouts! If you are here fromKristi's Blog then you are in the right spot! Erika has come up with some FABULOUS new awesome stamps the our DT is going nuts over LOL!! Believe me you will not be dissapointed you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Them all!!

The first set I will be showing is called "FEELING ICKY" this is a great set for someone who isn't feeling well and needs a lift!

When I first saw this sentiment "Does the flu have you feeling blue?" I automatically thought of the Smurfs!! Luckily I have the bestest blog friends ever and my sweet friend Monica saved me because she knows how to make files into SVG's woo-hoo!!! I searched and searched for a Nurse Smurfette and I couldn't find one and Monica aka Simply Cricutting was glad to help, thanks girl you are the BEST!!!!

Nurse Smurfette was a little challenging to piece together because this didn't have an outline on where to put all the pieces like a Cricut cart does, so I pieced it together just buy looking at the picture online, I wanted to give up but I'm glad I didn't because I didn't want to let my friend down and it was worth it in the end, Nurse Smurfette is soooo cute!! I also added twine and inked up the paper with Broken China Distress Ink and added pop dots under her and the sentiment.

Here's a closeup of the sentiment and also the entire Feeling Icky stamp set it is available for pre-order HERE

The next set is the very much anticipated "FANPIRE" stamp set that we the DT have been drooling over for a while LOL! I am so glad Erika decided to make a Vanpire themed stamp set how smart and cool is that!!

I found this amazing Edward SVG for FREE HERE on Mardenz Blog I am so happy that I made the switch to SVG's because I haven't bought a new Cricut cartridge in months!! Especially when I can get SVG's for free or dirt cheap woo-hoo!!!

I cut the Edward SVG with my SCAL 2 using my Cricut Expression (also for smurfette) and then I placed him upside down in my Xyron sticker machine and poured black Halloween Martha Stewart glitter on top. I stamped the music notes with a background stamp and sprayed red Glimmer mist all over and inked the edges with Black Soot Distress ink, I colored my bling with a black marker because I didn't have black bling this large! I used my DCWV paper stack that looks like Twilight paper for the red rose background paper and distressed it using my Heart Attack paper sander from We R Memory keepers, and added some blace lace ribbon.

Here's a close up of Edward and the stamp I used along with the entire "FANPIRE" stamp set that is available for pre-order HERE
I hoe you enjoyed this release because I LOVE it and I could picture using both these sets for so many different things! have a great weekend and have fun watching Edward, Bella and  Jacob on the big screen this weekend!!

***Just a reminder be sure to leave a comment on all the DT's blogs both days to win all 4 New Release stamp sets!***

#236 Crafty Sprouts New Release Blog Hop! Grumpy Card and Baby Boy Card

****Big Announcement HERE**** Guess what everyone I found out I'm having a baby GIRL and I am soooooo excited I can't stop smiling and I feel like the first time I ever went to Disneyland when I was a kid LOL! Yesterday was one of my most happiest days in my life you have no idea! I feel so blessed that God has blessed me with a little boy and now a baby GIRL!!! Our family is complete!! I can't wait until she comes in April!

Ok now onto the hop, I just had to keep my lovely followers up to date on my pregnancy status LOL!

Hi everyone!! Good morning and welcome to the much anticipated Crafty Sprouts Stamps New Release blog hop, hosted by Erika AKA Crafty Sprouts! If you are here from Kristi's Blog then you are in the right spot! Erika has come up with some FABULOUS new awesome stamps the our DT is going nuts over LOL!! Believe me you will not be dissapointed you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Them all!!

The first set that we will be previewing is called "SMILE ON" it's a stamp set with some very smiley and happy thoughts!

When I first saw this sentiment "A Smile A Day Keeps The Grumpies away" I automatically thought of Grumpy from Snow White.... isn't he so cute!?! I've always liked Grumpy and thought he was so serious and so funny haha! I wanted to make this card unisex in case any of my friends are going through a tough time, or in case my hubby is being a little grumpy himself haha!

I stamped the background stamp with Market Street "grid" stamp, and added a border with my Fiskars punch and some yellow buttons, I really wanted this card to be bright and cheery! I also added pop dots underneath Grumpy. I used the Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge for the die cut.

A close up of this awesome stamp and the entire "Smile On" stamp set. You can Pre-Order it HERE!!!

Now for my 2nd sneak peek "ROCK THAT BABY BUMP" I made this card for one of my oldest friends Regina, I've known her since 2003 and both of our hubby's used to work together in the Marine Corps. and we made a pregnancy pact last year LOL (so true!) well, guess what.... we are both pregnant at the same time Omg!!! She is due 3 weeks before me and she is having a little boy!

For this card I used 2 layers of Kraft paper and embossed one with the large dots embossing folder with my Cuttlebug and did some inking with Antique Linen Distress ink. I got the booties from my New Arrival Cricut Cartridge and added some brown ribbon bows and blue buttons. The eyelet lace I used here I got at Wamart for like $1 and it's actually white! I sprayed the lace with blue Glimmer Mist, the color is "Cornflower" and it's one of the "Chalkboard" Glimmer Mist inks. I LOVE the way the ribbon came out, because it looks like jeans, and plus now I can make and lace into ANY color yay!!!

I love this Bootie Call sentiment haha!! Hey that's how we get babies in the first place from "Bootie Calls" from our hubby's or boyfriends LOL!!!!!!! My friend will get a kick out of this one! Here is the close up of the "ROCK THAT BABY BUMP" below, and you can Pre-Order it HERE

A special thanks to Erika, you are so amazing and talented and I am so happy to be on a DT with such talented sweet DT sisters! Love you guys!

I hope you all have enjoyed my baby stories and a little history LOL! And of course the New Releases!! be sure to stop by tomorrow for the other 2 releases by CRAFTY SPROUTS STAMPS!!

#194 The Digi Bistro New Release and Halloween Layout

Hi everyone! For this week's challenge #3 at The Digi Bistro we were asked to make a Halloween layout using this fabulous SVG set called HALLOWEEN TOWN! I was super excited when I was downloading them to my computer because this set has 17 items for only $5 how cool is that!!! For my layout I did NOT use not one Cricut cartridge to create my masterpiece LOL! I actually used as many SVG's as I could fit on one 12x12 layout so I was able to squueze in 6.... 3 pumpkins stamped with PKS faces, 1 spider, marquee shape, and "Spooky"title. The other font is called "Carbon Type" font that I downloaded for free somewhere on a free font site (I'm sorry I couldn't remember which site!)

For all of my SVG files I cut them out on my Cricut Expression 2 using SCAL 2. I added tons of Black Soot Distress ink, and Timeless Lilac Glimmer Mist Spray.  I also added some Stickles and 2 very large purple pieces of bling.... LOL so me haha!

I made the chick pumpkin stand out by stamping the sentiment "I Don't BITE...but HE does!" with Crafty Sprouts MONSTER KISSES stamp set and placed a VERY spooky spider on her head. That girl pumpkin is scared of spiders just like me haha! This is how I look at all spiders.... like they have bloody fangs and they are all out to get me haha I'm serious! My hubby makes fun of me all the time because I SCREAM when I see ANY spider ANY size lol!! I placed a pop dot under the spider too!

Here's a closeup of the spooky title!

#181 BIrds and Birdcages Blog Hop Today!!

Hi everyone!!! Welcome to the Birds and Birdcages Blog Hop hosted by yours truly, this hop is all about birds and birdcages..... 2 of my favorite things! A special thanks to Yolie for creating this beautiful hop button for me.... Thank you so much Yolie I love it!!!

For my bird themed project I decided to make a layout about mine and my hubby's 6 year anniversary which was last year 2010 and we went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera.... Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. We loved it so much, Puerto Vallarta was my favorite it reminded me so much of Hawaii because it's tropical.

For my layout I chose to go with the vintage theme and chose a patterned paper from Autumn Leaves that has a lot going on but I made it work LOL! It had words, flourishes, roses and birds. I made my own 3D flowers by layering 3 different sizes and spraying with 3 different colors of Glimmer Mist and added bling. I also added lace and more blig with my i-rock. The font and flowers are from the Stamping Solutions Cricut cart, and the bird is from Florals Embellished.

Here's a close up of my flowers and the title "Love you forever and ever" I placed the title in my Xyron machine upside down and added blue Micro Beads from Martha Stewart.

I was so happy to see that this bird had a silhouette cut on it since this cart has sooooo many layers. The less layers the better for me sometimes LOL! I also added some Stickles to the bird and bling.

Ok so I just figured out a new technique!! Here's a regular piece of bling that I glued on the lace with some extra hold adhesive, well after it was done drying it had this nice crackle effect that I've never seen when using another kind of glue. The glue smells very strong and it works on any fabric or surface and it stays put and best of all it's acid free! I purchased mine at my local JoAnn's store with a coupon, they sell it in the paint section it's called E-6000 Adhesive. I've also seen it at Big Lots and Walmart. Just had to share that with you guys!!

Blog Candy!! I am giving away  1-  Peachy Keen stamps Bird Faces and More stamp set!!!
