#74 Ahoy! (Paper Playtime Challenge#5) Queen!!!

Here's what the card looks like when you first look at it. Peek a boo!

Here's what the card looks like when you pull out the wave with the octopus floating.

Ahoy! The sea monster!
The outer part of the card.

I am so happy to be Queen for a week at Paper Playtime (Paper Playtime challenge 5) for this weeks challenge it's Ahoy Matey!  I decided to make a b-day card for a little boy (or girl) using CAC for the octopus I wanted the octopus to look like a sea monster lurking on the waves, so that's why I made him blue to blend in with the water and  I embossed with my Cuttlebug, I also embossed the title. The wave attached to the octopus is from LAB. I cut 3 layers for everything because I didn't want anything to rip as you pull it out of the pocket. I made the pocket card by cutting a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card in half diagonally to make a triangle, then I glued only one side of the triangle so that I can make a pocket. To make the waves on the pocket part I ripped 3 strips of paper then I used my Broken China distress ink on the waves and octopus.

#73 California Dreamin frame (Challenge 5 w/ Joanna)

Here's how the frame looks laying down, also you can see where I painted the inside and outside with black acrylic paint.

The challenge of the week! Pink glittery sunglasses with blue diamonds from Paisley.

This is what the frame looks like when it's standing on the leg attached to the frame.

A close up of the the title, butterfly and palm tree.

For my 5th challenge with my sister  Joanna I chose to make the sunglasses from Paisley. I had so many ideas of what I wanted to do so I finally decided to make a frame. I bought the frame from Michael's. I cut each object 4 times including once on chipboard, the sunglasses are from Paisley, title is from LAB and the butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch. I put everything in my xyron sticker machine then sprinkled with Martha Stewart glitter. I painted the inside and outside of the frame with black acrylic paint. For the glasses I put glossy accents on the black part to make it look like real shades! I put 3 blue diamonds on each sides of the glasses.

#72 Grill King Father's Day Card

I cut all images from EPD on mostly white paper to make it fast, and I use chalk to color everything. The background paper is from DCWV paper stack, it's the kitchen stack. I create smoke above the grill with some doodling and gray chalk, and stamped sentiment.

#71 Father's Day family card

I cut the tags from PS, the family from GP and the oval tag for title from FF. This was a very quick and easy card I colored in the baby's diaper with a white gel pen and used Fired Brick distress ink around the tags, then put a strip of red floss across the bottom.

#70 Posh nail polish gift bag (Throwback Thursday Challenge)

For this weeks challenge we had to use PDDU I cut the monster girl and tiara from PDDU and the purse is from FY. I ran the monster and her tiara in my xyron and then put Martha Stewart glitter on it. For the "posh" I put glue then glitter. On both sides of the purse I put 3 glue dots then more glitter. I was trying to figure out what to put in here and I realized that 3 bottles of nail polish fit!!! Very exciting, I think I discovered a new gift to give to people. I used my Gypsy and cut the image to fit a 12x12 paper, it only needed about 12x6 or so. Perfect! Check out Emma's blog at Throwback Thursday

#69 Water LO

These are some cute and funny pics of my son on a very hot August day while on vacation. We bought a big gallon of water and he got so happy and was reaching for it he wanted to hold it and drink it all, my husband and I felt the same because it was hot! The title and water faucet are GS, the red frames that I CB'd are GW. The water drops are from EPDDU. I made one large water drop for my journaling.  I also put 4 buttons and 3 different strips of ribbon.

#68 Seashore LO

I put blue stickles on top of the shells.

The title and the green sand dollars are from LAB. I made a border out of burlap and real seashells that I covered in stickles. I used 2 glue dots for each shell to adhere to my page. I also put distress ink on cricut cuts and blue distress ink all over the page. I was going for a "washed up look"! I put more stickles on the sand dollars too. I did this LO for Practical scrappers glitter challenge this is my 1st challenge with them.
