# 33 Love Is In The Air Blog Hop

Photobucket

Welcome to my Blog and the Love Is In The Air Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Molly ARMY WIFE LEARNS THE CRICUT, you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at  http://www.crossmyhearpapercrafts.blogspot.com/. This blog hop is all about love themed ideas..

For my project I made a bouqet of roses from the Forever Young Cricut cartridge. I used all Valentine's Day themed paper from K & Co. Each rose has 3 different layers of flowers to complete each rose. I find the best way to adhere them together is with a hot glue gun. The can is a recycled Pineapple can can yum yum! I adhered the paper on the can with my ATG adhesive and it sticks perfectly. I added lace on top and bottom and cut each bamboo skewer in half since they were too long. Then after I bunched them all together I tied some pink lace to hold them together. I have been wanting to make this project for so long I have been storing it in my head for over a year now LOL! I am glad I finally did the work because I love the way it came out!

I made some green hearts for leaves. The hearts are from Plantin Schoolbook.

Now for some Blog Candy! I will give away a Brand New I-Rock to one lucky follower. Just leave me a comment telling me what type of handmade flowers you like to make. Also, please be sure to check back tomorrow for some more blog candy that I will be giving away on my Love At First Sight Blog Hop!

I hope you enjoyed my project. Thank you for visiting my blog. Your NEXT STOP is my sister Joanna SCRAP-MAKING. Below is a list of all blog participants:

I love making roses, One year adter my daughters dance recital, I didn't have time to go to the florist to buy her flowers for after the recital, so I made her some roses, after the recital, she was so upset because she didn't get "real" flowers, then all thelittle girls were loving them, and suddenly she loved them and HER mommy made them, and she was SO special, ect. LOL amazing how little girls change there thinking when other little girls show a little bit of envy!! lol Karen<3

  117. Cute and I love the flowers. I like blinging my flowers and jazzing them up. I also like adding pretty brads to them.

  121. What cute flowers you made... I looked for that paper the other day... all out! Oh well! My favorite flowers to make... I love Gerber Daisies so I tend to make a lot of them and another layered flower that reminds me of mums. Yours are stunning... I need to branch out and try some roses from paper, lace, ribbon, felt... I have ideas! Thanks for the inspiration and for being part of this fun hop! pjritsema at gmail dot com

  122. This is a very creative idea! I love that you showed that you can reuse an item to make something new! I have not had a chance to make homemade flowers but I have been seeing a lot of them lately. I hope to be able to give it a try someday soon!
